some novice questions about Footprint/Numbers bars, volume by price, etc.
1. if for every buyer there is a seller, then why is there a difference between bid volume and ask volume at any price level? shouldn't they be the same all the time?
2. please see attached picture.
3. also in picture.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

Hello Mike! I've been studying the link you gave, and I've learnt a lot in the last few days. thank you so much for helping out.
I'm still in the process of reading the material. meanwhile a few more questions came up and I can't seem to find answers anywhere, I wonder if you or someone else could shed some more light?
a particularly puzzling one is in the attached picture.
Price is made up of an Ask and a Bid, also known as the spread. In this example, the Ask price could have moved up to 87.28, with the Bid at 87.27. No contracts were traded at 87.28, but 3 contracts were traded at 87.27, and then the spread moved back down. Just because the best Ask price is 87.28 doesn't guarantee any contracts will trade at that price. Hope this helps.
