Important Notice: Based on the objections from some vendors, I had to take this indicator down for a while. I have been making changes to the presentation and I hope it is acceptable to everyone now . Sorry for the inconvenience.
I felt that we needed a thread dedicated to the discussion of Volume Profile.
Some basics, you can hover over these and click on most of them to get more info in the wiki. I also encourage you guys to improve the wiki articles by editing …
I love futures.io (formerly BMT) but the forum is nearly impossible to navigate. I'm terrible with technology but would like to get volume profile in ninjatrader. My goal is to have a 30 minute chart of the NQ where there is a profile for each bar and a profile for the day. I have successfully installed Gomi and ALTOGomMP but I can't get a profile on a 30 minute bar that protrudes enough to be useful. I've been messing with the settings but can't find the one that does what I'm hoping.
My understanding is I don't need to record the GOM data if I am happy with using tick files. (Not sure if this is part of the issue). Can any kind soul help me figure out what I am missing? Using the search feature I keep finding out of date threads - it isn't for lack of effort.
Thanks in advance. (also - with the ALTO version is there a way to use virgin POCs without using day profiles - meaning can I use this on a 30 minute chart? My POCs just run forward and get very messy).

Thanks to BigMike …
Asking Alto questions outside of the Alto thread just creates a split topic and confusion/problems.
Does anyone know of a volume profile indicator for ninja where I can make a micro composite profile with areas that I select? I've seen some on other platforms where you can just highlight or put a box around the area you want to profile but can't find anything like that for ninja.
