Its been a few weeks .
Still finishing up some summer jobs but have been trading some overnite and early mornings.
I have always traded the ES with poor results. I think as i look back I see that the amount of trades I have done is too many. My theory is if you swing at every pitch ya gotta get a hit here and there.
Tried different methods and tried many times to copy others, still poor results.
Last winter I finaly found something that was a big key for me and it was not method but my own self.
I was able to forgive myself for spending close to 60 grand over 10 years.
I overcame my ego that was telling me all kinds of ugly stuff.
But If I was to take on an apprenticeI would not send him out alone to handle live wires or charged gas lines.
I went into the markets not knowing what they are like.
So the upside is I have survived a tremendous amount of monetary and emotional ruin and can say that I am still standing and am okay.
What I learned from Ray at IDT and Doc Menecker at popdoc.com got me on a good path.
Market profile books over the summer I have found amazing.
So what I have done is change instruments purley by accident.
I looked at gold and made a couple trades after a few days I noticed more of my trades working out.
I can't say exactly why but gold does move different than the ES So I have stopped ES trading and focusing on the GC with better results.
I dont swing at every pitch but the ones I do swing at seem to be working.
