I wasn't sure where to post this so hopefully I've put this in the right place.

I'm getting this error message wherever I try to put any indicator on a chart:

Unable to create instance of "NinjaTrader.Indicator.ADL". Most likely there is no default constructor defined, or the default constructor does not work correctly: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

I just started getting this today and it happens when I load any indicator on a chart. I can still compile any indicator without any problems. I repaired the database under Tools/Options/Data. I have looked through the NT support database but couldn't find anything other than the standard, uninstall and reinstall NT which I don't want to do if it's just an issue with one particular indicator.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions that I could try that worked for them? Thanks

Is it always the same error (ADL)?

Is ADL a built-in Ninja indicator? If not, try deleting it and exit and restart Ninja.

Also, have you tried making sure you start with a new clean chart, no template?

Mike

Thanks for your input Mike. I did start with a clean chart, absolutely no indicators and then got the error regardless of which indicator I put on the chart. I did finally resolve the problem.
I chose a random indicator and then went through edit, rightclick >references. In the references I looked for any references to the last indicator that I deleted. I found such a reference and deleted that dll. I then compiled a random indicator without any issues and that seemed to resolve the problem.
I`m not sure why I wasn`t getting the error right after deleting the indicator but maybe it`s because I was loading workspaces that never included that indicator to begin with. I`m just glad I figured it out and didn`t have to re-install.
