I was looking for some advice around the amount of trading information available and how people filter through this to extract what is pertinent to you?
At the moment I just want to read and learn everything so that is what I have been doing but I think this approach is really counter-productive especially in this business where this will literally lead you into a black hole of never ending books, posts, webinars, etc.
An example I want to learn about Market Profile I have read both of Dalton's books and watched the DVD but I will need to re-study them all as I read them too early and did not fully grasp the concepts. However now I have this feeling that I need to study everything available on Market Profile such as the full post here in the elite thread all FT71 webinars on here and his website plus obviously all the rest of the information that is about. How do you go about dealing with these situations? I understand that essentially practice applying the skill is what will bring the most value as Dalton says in his book but obviously studying is important. Another example is the price action thread here in the elite section which I am very interested to read but again will be a large undertaking especially as my back log of books is building up. In a few days I'm sure I will find something else that I feel is essential and this process obviously continues constantly.
Any thoughts on how other people handle this would be greatly appreciated.
