Market position in the past

Does anyone know how you would check to see if you were in a position recently?

I thought it would be something like this (checking 4 bars ago) but this doesn't work:
if (Position.MarketPosition != MarketPosition.Flat[4])
...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
