Lately, I was following statistical data on certain threads that were recently open.
And, I've noticed that the energy of attracting the viewers for particular threads reminded me of the price action of a given trading instrument.

For example, on Aug I3, 2012, the new thread was opened called
Since then until noon yesterday the thread attracted little bit over 200 visitors.
But later that day something happened and in a matter of minutes the number of visitors increased to nearly 500.

I think after yesterday's surprised upsurge in visitors the thread is now in a stage of Wearing Off of Novelty. During the past 24 hours the thread attracted roughly the same amount of individuals as during the spike. Of course we should anticipate failures as well as accelerating moves and retraces but this only could prove my point that threads are likely to behave similar to trading instruments in attracting visitors/clients.
