Thanks for reading, I've been using the AF with TOS on my home computer and laptop but its bogging down TOS to the point of being unusable, the problem is I'm finding a great deal of S/R lines from it - tradeable setups... and would like to correct the problem. Have you experienced this during normal trading hours? And to a less degree during ETH.
The memory used shows pegged in TOS, I remove the study and its back to normal.
Any code tweaks you could suggest, hardware upgrades?
I upgraded my laptop to 12gb memory still have the issue.
Thanks VF
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Sorry to hear about the memory issues. TOS still does not effectively use your computer's memory. You need to adjust the memory allocation on the start up of TOS if that will help. I have not changed min in so long that I don't even remember what the max is at the moment. You may try to also go in and edit your TOS script that you are using. There may be some settings that will make it take up less memory.
That said here is another idea, why not try another autofib script. Trader X wrote the one I've attached one that I like and that has worked well for me. I don't know what AUTO FIB script you are using or exactly where I got the one I use from Trader X from, but I'm going to attach an auto fib script that I think uses less bandwidth than whatever you are currently using. It is a nice simple little script that I double load on my chart for two time periods one in the morning trade and one in the afternoon. I'm attaching an exported version and the text version so you can check them both out. Not sure if I exported properly so it may be easier to just use the txt version and cut and paste.
Oh one more thing just in case the AutoFib you are using is from TraderX.
I don't know if this will make any difference or not but I don't plot the data used for AutoFib, just the FIB Lines.
