I would like to find a person to trade CL with.
My resume:
I trade 8-10 am Eastern
5 min and 7 range
I trade live. single contracts.
I typically will grab 1-3 live trades.
profit at 12 tics
I study Price Action with only 5 indicators. 2 of which are MA's, Daily Pivots, Volume and ATR
All of my entries and stops are taken off the Range chart. 5 min chart is my leader.
It would be nice to find a person or a group trading with similar style.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

I have been a CL day trader for last 3 years & before that I have traded stocks & Index futures. I have my Great days & bad days. I work with 5 min & 20 Range chart.
I'm willing to try discussing opinions & strategies or some ideas via chat.

Another limit. Why do you limit your trades ?
Why only 12 ticks ? Usually are far more than 12 ticks.
Here is mine:
Trade CL from 8 to 14-15 EST usually.
Look only for trades that are at least x2-x3 my initial stop.
My stops are about 8-10ticks and less if the market allows me, but it is rarely.
I use pure Price action on 400ticks and 1200 ticks. 1min is just to see the price dynamic through the time and also to look at the volume. Volume is very important in my system.
Most trades I have when there are some important news that can cause big moves such as NFP, FOMC etc.

12 tics is my edge. That is why I only take 12.
3 trades a day is plenty for me. At this stage of the game my edge only consists of a couple of trades.
I to trade the CL - I am on the west coast. If you go to the Home page of BM's you will see a live chat area... you will notice that many there trade the CL ... My approach is very close to yours... I go for 8 to 15 ticks depending on what see and usually get about 2 to 6 trades depending on the day... before noon time.

I am looking to trade with someone or discuss trading cl . I have been training and sim training the es but recently looked at cl and like the movement . I would like to speak with you regarding your experience with different trading groups. Also I live in Raleigh,Nc.
I am afraid I would not be much help to you. It would be like the blind leading the blind. I originally posted here to find a senior CL trader or a group of CL traders. A week later I found my group on another site, However since then, they fell apart.
My suggestion to you is find a person HERE who posts thier trades and thier trading plan. Study what they do and stay in SIM untill you are consistantly profitable following the rules recording every trade you take for the next 3-6 months.
