John Clayburg Universal and 4 Step Systems - Buyers beware
After reading Clayburg's 4 Steps book which focuses on trading based on Momentum, RSI, Stochastics, I purchased the Tradestation Universal System and 4 Steps Strategies from him. This happened 6 weeks ago. I am yet to receive from him what was agreed upon for the different startegies that are symbol specific.
Initially, I would email him or call his cell and was able to speak to him. He has since not answered any of my calls or emails for the last 3 weeks and of course the agreed upon startegies hve not been received. Of course, I have already paid him for these a siginificant amount!
I am puzzled, as he seems to be very legitimate and established person and is associated with John Carter at Tradethemarkets.com and onlinetradingsystems.com. It goes beyond me as why he would do something like that.
May be I am wrong about Dr. Clayburg ( time will tell); but just in case, I thought I would share this so others are aware.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm a 45 year old male. I have been trading for many years. I came across Clayburg's website and was quite impressed with all the automated strategy results he posted. It's quite easy to become mesmerized by the results thinking you can make hundreds of thousands a year. And to find out a Doctor actually programmed the strategies...wow, even more impressive (until you find out he's a vet)
After buying into his Automated Strategies (which are very costly) I found a very harsh reality. I spent many many hours setting everything up properly, studying all materials. I was obsessed with figuring out the ins and outs of the system.
The actual results proved to be extremely disappointing. Not only did I lose my money on Clayburg's systems. I was losing money every day running his systems...and believe me I did everything to set it up right. Finally after running his systems for over a month and losing a lot of money I stopped. The kicker was that he would post gains on his site while in reality the days would end up as losers. I would ask him why and he claimed slippage.
You see, what he posts are results from the TradeStation or Multicharts automations...or simulations......they are not ACTUAL results. In the meantime, I learned the ACTUAL results myself and I could post a whole new set of numbers...all in red.
In addition, he claims you can call him or email him anytime. Yes you can do this but he will NOT return phone calls....his emails are one word answers. If you DO get him on the phone he barely speaks giving one word answers. He has got to be the most unfriendly person I have came across. Talk about not caring about your customers.
I'm ashamed and embarrassed I ever got involved with him..yes you can call me stupid because I was taken by him, big time. However, maybe I can help out some fellow traders and you that you should stay away from John Clayburg. He is a scam..... or perhaps more professionally put.....a fraud.
As mentioned before contact your credit card Co. Also send a synopsis of your results along with the claims made on his site.. this alone shows a pattern of deception which the Cc companies will factor... id be surprised if you don't receive your refund. it may take some time so be persistent.. finally any written complaints similar to yours should be included... GL
Cater and Hubert build up goodwill with their freebies so by the time they announce some 'special' deal with xxxx( fill in any latest and greatest method) you are ready to spend some serious monies. But if you go to their main website look in about us it show only their name, no Clyburg, no Hoffman, no Carolyn, no guilt by association. They don't charge you up front but 'special' deal more than makes up for it.
I have heard of Clayburg for a long time and knew the system never really worked. But I thought this time since we so far advanced in technology it would be better. I friend of mine who has this system is doing very well with it so I was interested a bit, but upon reading what others wrote I do not not not want it. Still my friend doubled his account quite soon after using it. He is not a well man and so it is difficult to determine waht it actually can do. However I would not even think of purchasing it because it was such a disaster earlier on (10 years ago). Too bad. Thanks for the reviews
