How many contracts in CL, TF, and 6E during normal trading times can move the market?
While trading I see bid and ask range from 1 to 25 contracts at any moment.
Does this mean that 1 or 2 contracts will not move the market but ten might?
Interested to hear others perspective on this (particular those managing other peoples money who are trying to avoid moving the markets with large orders).
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
According to Al Brooks (from the book Price Action - Trends) he put forward that 200 contracts will likely move the ES 1 tick. As for CL, TF and 6E it would be interesting to see if anybody has similar insight.

TrendTraderBH - You could get a rough idea by looking at the data. The following chart for CL shows that (on average) 150 contracts within 5 seconds should move the price by about 0.05 $/Bbl or 5 ticks. But there is significant variability in the data.
