David Morgan is considerate a silver "guru", if you go to Max Keiser blog you will find interviews with him and a lot of talking about silver market by Max Keiser also. There are some very important and helpfull information about silver and also gold market there.
@ gary - Just buy something people have heard of like Silver Morgan Dollars, Silver Eagles, and Silver Maple Leafs. Prices are negotiable closer to spot price the more you buy. Get them on the phone to negotiate. It's like buying a car. so enjoy
Not sure of your reasons but I would suggest you take physical delivery....I'm not big on the "but I have a piece of paper that says bla bla bla" thing. That's just me.
I started buying silver rounds (.999 ,,, generic rounds, some have art on them) before the Y2K "scare." I continued to buy a little here and there after "the non-event." I collect coins so it was a good fit. I started putting together a Silver Eagle collection and found this company, been using them ever since. The website ain't much, but the service is excellent.
Silver Eagles have a market of their own, and my thought is, if I suddenly fall over dead, the collection could be sold easily at a premium over spot. Many (most) of those generic rounds I initially bought under $8.00 yes, eight. I sold them all in the $40's on Ebay so now, I'm all Eagles. I will say this, gold takes up a hell-of-a-lot less space.
BTW, Don't get any ideas, I also have a pretty nice gun collection.
