Anyone share their thoughts on the two alternates to IRT, looking for something without an monthly subscription for MP and VP, Market Delta and IRT do NOT offer lifetime licenses. Has anyone had equally good results using Critical Data and/or Rancho Din products appreciate the feedback

Why not use Gomi's stuff? Before getting rid of Market Delta I did some comparisons and it is just as accurate. I am not using MP but VP and the Bis/Ask Ladder. I say save your money...

I do not believe it is fair to compare an entire platform (IRT/MD) to an add-on to an existing platform.

IRT has a lot of functionality that is not available through any practical means or add-ons with NinjaTrader (or other platforms).

That said, if you don't need any of that functionality and are perfectly happy with NinjaTrader, except you want persistent bid/ask and cumulative delta or market profile studies, then Gomi's work is the way to go (free for all Elite Members here). I've also heard some good things about Rancho Dinero, but don't know much about it. So you should do your own homework before deciding.

I think if you are a very serious MP or VP trader, then IRT or MD is really the best choice. You simply cannot emulate all of its capabilities with other platforms.

Last, you aren't limited to just one platform. You can have multiple ones, and use them differently to provide you the best of all worlds. Of course, you should be completely prepared to pay for this.

With regards to lifetime license or no monthly costs... I don't think that should carry much weight. If you are actively trading a funded account, then $50-$100 a month in platform fees is nothing to get upset over, just like you don't get upset over having to pay IQFeed for quality data. It is like fuel for your car, it is just part of it.

Rancho Dinero user here and am extremely happy with him/it. The guy is prolific a super smart ex Microsoft dude and most of all a very serious trader. I would be to speak with you regarding anything you might like to know. I can just say that most people use IRT for MP VP but I believe they don't yet understand NinjaTrader/Rancho and just follow the crowd. And as he says the best it yet to come! (which just blows me away because his stuff is so good and he is so very generous....he really feels a strong need to give back)

Hi Blash,

I am looking at both IRT and Rancho Dinero. Do you mind outlining advantages of Rancho Dinerio vs IRT or similar charting packages.

Thanks,

I'm an IRT user but I'm getting a bit peeved with it right now. It's buggy and I have to keep reloading stuff...

Would consider an alternative but it would need to be one that doesn't require me to have my PC on 24x7 - I'm in a Tropical country and don't really want to run the air con 24 hours. It's 100 degrees today and the PC will fry if I leave it on.

The attraction of I/RT was that it gets the data it needs when you need it.

Any of the alternatives do that?

Sierra has proper bid/ask backfill from DTN, like IRT and MD. I don't know of any other platform that does this.

Have you reported the problems to Chad? He seems to be receptive and fix things at a quick pace.
