The colors of DoubleMA and ChannelThis indicator disappears when NinjaTrader is closed (exited) and relaunched. I modified and recompiled the indicator but the colors would not stay. They all just turn white at the indicator settings.
What needs to be done toretain the colors.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
lolu, I'm not sure I understand. You're saying you changed the colors inside the .cs file (not on the chart), recompiled, removed the indicator from your chart, re-added it to your chart, and the colors were not the ones you directly programmed into the .cs file?
Yeah ! I changed the colors inside the ChannelThis.cs, recompiled, removed the indicator from my chart, etc; and the colors still disappeared. A curious look at the ChannelThis.cs files shows that apart from the the colors declaration in "#region Variable" the colors are also declared in "protected override void Initialize()" section. I also noticed that the color declarations in both sections do not correlate (i.e. Color.Maroon, Color.RoyalBlue, Color.Yellow in "#region Variables", but KnownColor.Maroon, KnownColor.DarkGray, KnownColor.RoyalBlue in "protected override void Initialize". In any case, I changed the colors in both sections and in the same pattern; and no SUCCESS.
Two-in-one bundle: DoubleMA plots two moving averages in one (originally by Rollins, updated by me to add new MA's and a Signal/DMV dataseries).
ChannelThis will put any two moving averages into a channel with various display options so you can look …
ChannelThis now works. Meanwhile, Mike, could you please suggest MA1 and MA2 settings for Forex Trading for both ChannelThis and DoubleMAPaint. The default settings are MA1=3, MA2=14 (for ChannelThis) and MA1Period=34, MA2Period=34 (for DoubleMAPaint).
Sharky, could you post the indicators used in your setup, particularly the ones at the lower windows. I suspect one of them is the ECO2; and the other looks like the FXFreedomBars indicator on MetaTrader 4.
lolu all my settings and indicators are posted all over the place the ones on the bottem are just a eco2 and 2 dma
ps why are you wanting to trade forex dont you know its a scam?...sharky
so here are some pics of my charts and indicator settings also i use a 34 adxvma 34 ema for my main moving average so you might want to try that out...sharky
I don't trade forex and don't use DoubleMA or ChannelThis. But I know that many others here do, so I hope they can help with some recommended settings for you. If you don't get some answers, try the chatbox as well.
