I couldnt figure out WHY im always going down..havin to reboot...3 to 5 times aday..im on all day.

Heres what we figured out...my son-in-law & I....

Over x-mass John stayed w/ us for 2 weeks..Air Force..home for awhile..he likes to play computer games...like all into the nite...And John realized their was a pattern w/ the relationship to the time of day & nite the internet was disconnected...

So we began to WRITE down the times 2:17pm 5:17pm 11:17pm 12:17am 2:17am SAME TIMES all week

Then...week to week...a different time pattern...9:46am 10:46am 1:46pm another week..9:01am 12:01pm...more times inbetween..but 6:01 and so on..

Johns in computer logistics for the Air Force special ops..He said they do it on purpose..its called "DROPING PACKETES" It disconnects users downloading and have to start over...it appearantly SAVES AT&T $$ from carrying downloads..

Thats why we are always lossing internet connections..the at&t people dont kno ANYTHING at all about it..its done at the very top...their told its the system its too old...infrastructure... & their upgrading and selling u to upgrade..

Anylize this aminute....If its the wires..cat 5, not the new cat6..then the disconnects should be random? not a specsific same times each & every time...rite ??

So I make sure that im not in the market at 9:01 or 9:46 or 11:17 or what have u ? what ever the time structure is for that week....I write down each time and I KNOW its going to drop when it does drop...if Im in a trade and I like the trend I know how long it takes to reboot so I wiegh the options to risk.

I hope that sheds some light for those that lose internet all the time.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but why are you trading using at&t wireless as your primary connection?

I had ATT a few years ago but dumped them because of disconnects...I don't know that it was the same thing you are experiencing but anyway switched to comcast and would recommend you do the same...I have had zero problems since.

If you are being dropped that much, definitely switch to Comcast. I would not put up with that crap from ATT. On Comcast, my IP address recycles once every few day to a week and that causes a drop, but it happens before the market opens, so no issue.
