I came across www.daytradingradio.com a few days ago which has a free version for anyone at: Ticker Watch: Day Trading Radio or Day Trader Radio Stock Market Radio Show - Trader Education | Live Alerts | Technical Analysis. The moderator, John is a daytrader of stocks and the ES which he trades from setups generated in his system of using trendlines, moving averages and stochastics all in all a very simple system. He analyzes the market on a short timeframe chart of 1 min up and has a big following in his chatroom & video broadcast of up to 2000 people.

The free version includes a realtime video of the ES on a 1 min timeframe and he comments on market activity and marks up the chart with trendlines. He also trades stocks and shows the setups and adds commentary. The paid version includes an irc chat room for the traders and his 10 of 10000 pick of the best stock plays for the coming week. Also you can run the chat room, video and listen only, in separate windows.

He uses all stock indicators, there is a tick volume indicator that you can pay for that plays a sound on large up/down volume spikes though he does include that in the free video. There is a lot of reporting in realtime on market background information such as news, sector rotation, some pit call feeds, things that drive the market, a wealth of information. As a small trader learning as I go, knowing that there is a lot of information about market mechanics that directly affect the futures indices and not knowing where to look for it, I found the insights of the participants educating. If you need company while trading this is a good pick. There is a 2 week free trial and membership is $29.95/mo or better price if you pay for a year.No endorsement just reporting what I saw.

I found it extremely helpful personally and up to this point didn't really employ trendline drawing in my own trading as I didn't trust my inexperience in applying them. John makes a strong case for using them and I have been practicing drawing them on my charts and more importantly drawing channels which I find remarkably reliable in this day of electronic bot trading. Its a method I won't trade without from now on. He has several hundred Youtube videos explaining his method, well worth viewing in my opinion.

He relies heavily on slow stochastics as a entry/exit system on different time frame charts. Its default of 20,2,2 works well from what I can see, I am testing it for reliability as well.

He had a member-guest on a couple of days ago, Vander who came on and talked for about 2 hours about behind the scenes mechanics of the big players relating from his experience how that works. Its on youtube and here is the link: Wall Street Insider Discusses Gray Areas of the Market - YouTube All in all a good community from what I have seen so far.
The Vander interview is an eye opener and worth listening to.

Cheers, bluedot

I have not listened for sometime now, but I used to subscribe and the commentary is very good and very entertaining at times. I think it's still pretty reasonable as well.

So I've been listening/watching DayTraderRadio on the Financialjuice site (free) for a couple of months now and I am thinking of signing up for their premium service. Looks like it is about $30/month. I've gone to Daytradingradio.com to find out what all is included and it is difficult to understand exactly what you have access to on their site. What i am particularly interested in is the pit noise and the tickstrike sound. I think these are included but I cannot tell based on what i see/read. I know they (DTR) have been upgrading their "dashboard" to control the sound levels of the music, tick and pit noise but again I'm not sure if the pit noise and tickstrike are additional subscriptions.

Is anyone a current member and can clarify for me?

Thanks

PS - I did see this page: https://daytradingradio.com/member-benefits but it does not talk about tickstrike or pitnoise.

So I signed up for a two week trial, or rather i tried to. Their website and screens to sign up are not exactly idiot proof (and as a certified idiot I had my fun) so i quit the sign-up without giving my credit card info. All I wanted was the two week free trial so i hate having to give my CC info for something I may not want in the long run. Thought that was it (unsuccessful trial sign up) but the next day i had 4 e-mails from them, one telling me to complete the sign-up and another two telling me that they had signed me up for the free trial and a 4th welcoming me to the site and providing links to various parts for DayTradingRadio (DTR).

Not sure why it was not obvious how to sign up for free without giving the CC info but it wasn't to me. At any rate I now have started the two week trial.

They have recently created a "dashboard" (see picture below)
to put together all of their different services and provide a central user control. It seems like they are still working some things out relative to multiple audio channels. Again it is a struggle on their website as to how to get to the dashboard so I have to use the e-mail link that takes me to an explanation of the dashboard and then from there I can launch it.

So my first critical review is that they need some major work (as in start over) on their website navigation because it is not clear nor obvious where you go to get to the "Dashboard". You can get to the individual pieces (video, audio, chatrooms, etc) from the home page and maybe it is in their plans to redo the home page.

That said I think they have done well creating their dashboard, once you get to it. The majority of the screen is used to focus on a chart, so far has been mainly ES but they will bring in and enlarge other charts as they discuss them. On the right side of the screen are volume controls that you can adjust for your preferences. They have a dedicated music channel, a Main channel, aux channel, news channel and the Tickstrike volume control.

The audio services are a good combination and having the ability to adjust one to the other or turn off is good. The main channel is the host of DTR which the last two days has been a fella named RPM. The aux channel has Ben lichtenstein's pit noise and someone calling out the ES trades. As I trade the TF this is of value to me. The news channel is good (not sure of the source) as it relates news about the stocks and the market in general. The music channel I leave off as it is not of interest but RPM plays what people request. The TickStrick is again tied to ES so i find it of value to me, again i can control the volume which is nice to be able to do.

I did find that on the free version, on Finacialjuice, that you often get all of the audio but no ability to control individually. I think part of it is pick up on the hosts PC.

Below the volume section, there is a trade alerts section that can also show news items, again you can configure what is displayed. The trade alerts relate to stocks only so not much of interest to me.
Also on the screen is a summary of existing (on going) stock trades and historical record.

Another feature are the chatrooms available where everyone can participate. They have news only, futures, forex, options, aapl scalpers and a few others. The chat rooms are based on IRClight version and can be run in Java, HTML or flash.

They have discussion forums and some video/education, I haven't looked at either thus far.

That's all for now. I'll update over the next week or two.
