I was using an indicator called CCI 4 RangeBars, that predicts the movements of the cci, very good.
It was developed to work with Range Bars.
But now, I'm working with the Median Renko Bars, that is a custom bar, and the CCI 4 RangeBars doesn't work on it.
I tried to do something myself on the indicator progam and I could make it work with Renko Bars, that is a native bar of NT, changing the 'PeriodType.Range' in line 68 of the program for 'PeriodType.Renko'. It worked perfectly
But Median Renko, as an external kind of bars, is not in the 'little list' of bars.
Please, could someone help me if possible? What I have to do? I'm not a programmer, but if it is easy, I can try to do it myself.
If someone can code it for me (and maybe for us) perfect! But just some tips are very welcome.
I would be very very appreciate!
The indicator is attached.
Thank you very much!
* I could attach an screenshot, but I don't know how to do this...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I put the 'Final3' label in the program, as previously posted, and worked. Zondor suggestion worked too, is just to put 2 slash bars " // " in the 68 line, before the label, as he posted too.
But both of suggestion is not working properly, because all the rest of the indicator was developed for Range Bars, these changes in that line just 'printed' the indicator on the chart with the Median Renko Bars, all the calculation was made based on Range Bars.
Well, the problem was solved by Mr. Snaphook in that link posted, he changed some calculations on the indicator.
Working on it, will accommodate range or renko bars. You choose which type of bar analysis to use in the indicator properties. Will post it soon.
Snaphook's trying to automatically detect the bar type when he has no way of knowing what custom bar types are installed in YOUR particular types folder, is an unsound approach fraught with problems.
