I have a problem following discipline, so in order to make things enforced on me, I wrote a C++ wrapper around TradeStation to receive charting data. I then have an interop & wrote C# code for Data Analysis.
So far it has been a work in progress & the intention is to pretty much consolidate the basic rules & present a visual indicator using WPF. Once when the basis rule set is attained, I can analyse next steps & decide if I want to get into a trade or not.
Now that I have quite some data, I would like to store this in a structured format for analysis on long run. Full sized DB server (SQL Server) is no problem, but I'm looking to see if anybody have any experience with rapid data storage & retrieval ideas.
With all these questions & points set aside, I will present my work to enforce trading discipline within a few days for further input from this forum. The Good part is, it is pretty isolated system & can be plugged into any charting system pretty easily.
