Well - everything depends on what is your style of trading, what instruments you usually use, and what money you trade with...
Some brokers are good, because they have mini or even microlots, but have problem with large positions, and some of them open positions much faster then others...
tell me how you trade and perhaps I will suggest you a few good ones.
Personally, I do not like i.e. FXCM (I used to trade with them until last year) because their bridge to mt4 was offered by Boston Technologies - the infamouse company which wrote the Virtual Dealer plugin . The problems with them was, that actually you open or close a position but you never know on which actually price - because the price which was shown on the mt4 terminal was one thing, but the real price you got... later, very often with strange corrections.
So for a high frequency trading it was not good at all. But besides the use of the Boston Tech support, I always consider the broker as a good and honest professional broker.
Presently I trade with a German, very fast broker called: Varengold Bank. It is almost perfect (if we talk about mt4 brokers) with the only one exception: due to market limitations (EUREX) you cannot trade short positions on some indices they offer.
FXPro said to me and some of my friends "Thank you for trading with us, but.... " and we had to go elswhere...
Anyway - say what you expect and I will try to suggest you someone.
Coval, are you still trading with this broker? I just came across an advertisement and might give them a try. Please tell me a little more about your experience as I can see you are also from germany and this is the only post they are mentioned in the forum. Also, is this their official site because I found a similar one?
I would also appreciate your experience with other german brokers. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
although I live in Germany I rather do not use German brokers and the VG has been the only one I have tried so far. There is a lot of international brokers with offices in Germany, but why to use the local office or white label charging extra commission ? Because they offer the service in German language ? Perhaps for someone it could be an adventage.
Comming back to VG - I still do have the account but I have been using it only for testing reasons - they have a really large number of instruments, usually there are no time deleys on openings and of course - no requotes. Good for normal trading, even scalping was ok.
Unfortunatelly, they were not fast enough for High Frequency Trading - and this was the strategy I created and wanted to test on their servers.
One could also complain about their spreads and commissions - really could be adjusted to the rest of the international market.
They have also a very good client service - if somebody needs such support.
