Hello,

European brokers to trade european stocks are cheaper (sometimes a quarter than InteractiveBrokers prices) but they also offer very crappy platforms only.

Which NinjaTrader supported brokers are you aware of that offer european (Euronext and/or Eurex) stocks trading besides IB ?

Thank you

So I was headed over 2 options. Sadly they don't offer european stocks for practical trading :
- TD Ameritrade don't offer euro stocks access
- MB Trading off euro stocks trading only by the phone ! (no-go)

For 100000 EUR Euronext shares, InteractiveBrokers's commissions are 29 EUR. I can find brokers here that would cover this only for 5 EUR (close 1/6 of IB)

I regret that there aren't more options for stocks using Ninja, and euro stocks especially.

Think about another platform. IMO, NT is not that great for stocks trading.

@Dionysus : IB is too expensive, up to 6 times more than Fortuneo or BourseDirect french brokers for Euronext stocks

@terratec : like what ? I need to code an automatic system with scanner. MultiCharts ? Are there cheap broks for euro stock to link with MC ?

Thanks again

MultiCharts also doesn't support "local European brokers" (meaning relatively small brokers primarily based on one country). To trade the European markets, you'd be better of to use Interactive Brokers, or the introducing broker for Interactive Brokers in your country if you want support in your own language.

Btw, as far as my Google skills and Google Translate helped me, both French brokers you mentioned (Fortuneo and BourseDirect) don't have an API, which would mean that no software program like NinjaTrader or MultiCharts can connect to this broker, even if they wanted to. Perhaps that's part of the reason they're so cheap.

I also search myself, and the only option is IB.
And for me it's not so expensive, compared to those brokers, who only have bad trading platforms.

Right. Anyway it seems the only option right now.

Here's what MB trading had to say :
"MB Trading offers 22 foreign markets (please see list below). Clients who wish to place trades on these foreign markets, cannot do so on the MBT Desktop/PRO, and must phone in these orders through our Trade Desk."

Prolly the next broker the most likely to offer euro stocks trading. Also they seem to have a better commissions structure than TD Ameritrade for instance.

People only need to bug them to offer live trading through a quality platform (be it NT or MC) ......

@Jura, that's right they don't offer API, only web-based proprietary platforms. They're OK but not all the time reliable and of course you cannot code antyhing specific.

Multicharts 8.5 has just introduced support for AvaTrade which I think they offer a subset of European instruments.
They also have support now for italian broker WeBank.
