Hi all,

I am a 10 years trader (usually medim time-range), that has decided to take his skills to the next level. I am new to ninjatrader coding, but I am not new to programming (made a scanner for 3000 stocks coded in Matlab).

I am looking for people to share trading ideas, tools and even co-develop algorithms and trading systems, because life has taught me about that the mastermind power of a group.

Will be happy to connect
Hezi

I might be interested. Originally I was interested in getting 5-8 guys to rent a small office and trade anything at all but specialize in Fibonacci work which I am now concentrating on . I used to think it was garbage but found 2 rooms that are fantastic using fib clusters. Anyway, since most of us are in different states, and in your case maybe a different country, perhaps we can start a private chat room where we can have a bunch of guys all ages each bringing something to the table. I would love to have a guy like you who can do programming. Me? Im 52, male and live in the USA. Please tell me more.

Marc

After several years of technical trading, and vowing not to quit until I can make a good living at it, I now realize that to trade alone and win is no victory at all. You have no one to share your wins, no one to see how you picked your winners, and if you have a wife or girlfriend, they may politely give you a big hug or kiss when the day is done but in the end they just want to know how much more is in the bank than the previous month. Its a lonely life and I too need someone who I can share all my trades with. I belonged to a live trading room for a while, and sadly out of almost 500 attendees in the room, only I and the moderator actually came into the office most times. I would bet people have lost their minds and became hermits from sitting home in front of a screen for years at a time. Already I feel the changes in my psyche now as I have no patience for small talk and find that most people arent interested in me as well. I am well rounded, read a lot, but you lose your social magnetism. This needs to be studied. Its a sad but fascinating subject. No wonder we have so many drug addicts and alcoholics around the world. Everyone lives in a chat room or on a message board it seems. Very sad. Anyway, would you or anyone consider starting a trading team/syndicate and maybe first starting a chat room where the moderator shows his charts and we all trade off of them and agree on the chart criteria. It could be the start of forming some fantastic relationships and speeding our learning curve exponentially. For me, fibonacci and candlesticks are everything, but there is one or 2 missing ingredients from my pie. Maybe if we can get a few guys to look at each others pies, we could come up with the best tasting one out of the group. I will drop my trading methods and ideas in a heartbeat if anyone has anything better. And Id love to find a programmer who could backtest about 100 what if scenarios Ive collected over years of trading. Lets get a CHAT ROOM going at least!

Can't agree more. The biggest challenge is time and shortening the learning curve, and this is the reason I decided to form this group.
Mastermind teams are working very well in other areas in my life, I believe that it should work in the trading/investing area as well.
I will send you my skype id in a private message, and we take it from there. I call anybody else who see this thread and like this concept to contact us and join our group.

Well, starting a trading group or even a trading room is fine but we need to be on the same page in some areas at least or it will be chaos. I dont want to start anything where 40 people join and we 2 people left after 3 weeks. Show me what youve got by posting here consistantly but not too long. For me I am considering getting involved with 2 comapnys and I never would before pay for Internet trading services. However there is a company called :Thetradingauthority.com that gives you a free trial in their room and Im very intrigued with those BB dots and the choices of stop loss systems they let you use and yet keep their method simple. I suggest you fellas check them out and give me your opinion on them. I am also interested in Scott Carneys Hormonic trading site. I think its called :fxgroundworks.com. Since it depends on fibs for the pattern and now he has a scanner to fidn the pattern , this guy is either a genius or a conman and I intend to find out which. So...what are the rest of you into in your trading methods? We cant have a room with 12 guys doing 15 different things, so we must agree on where to start at least. I have a visitor coming for a week or so in 2 days so may not be posting for a while but keep this thread alive. First thing I need to find out is: WHO IS WILLING TO HELP SETIUP A CHAT ROOM AND HOST IT? I dont want to do it all myself. There is Omnovia, the king of traderooms and now I hear there is :JING, which gives you freee screen sharing. Anyone want to provide an opinion on comparing these 2. And why is anyone still using: hottcomm when the users have to pay $30 a month for it?

When you are talking about trading rooms, do you mean Instant Messaging like skype, and like the IM panels on the home page of futures.io (formerly BMT)?

If so, when you are having a discussion / chat, doesn't it disrupt your concentration when you are trying to trade? Or do you restrict chats to learning periods, after-markets, sim-only sessions etc?

You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you.

Hello Mark...those bb dots are going to cost you an arm and a leg....just went to the authority site you showed above...this guy charges 750 per quarter to play in his play pen...I can promise you there are way lower cost options that will give you what you want, if that's it. I like where you guys seem to be going with this and it sounds interesting....chuck

Hi all,

Seems they wont let me answer my private messages till I have 5 or more posts so let me try. No Chuck, Im not interested in MACD bb's alone on tradingauthority.com. Im just amazed the guys room has called so many winners each day using it and they give you 80 hours of video to study any time. Im also checking out a couple of other rooms which seem to have some real sharp guys in them. One guy Im checking out is a trainer called Jeff Quinto. I wont pay 9 grand to learn his methods, but I want to find out more about him as his free videos are fabulous. Will keep posting. Lets take our time. Im also researching harmonic patterns and so far they are too overwhelming for me to devote much time too. Maybe thats why we need a team!

Marc
