AMP vs Mirus thread are horror stories about Ghost Trades.
I had once ghost trade what ninja did'nt show me, GNI futures and Patsystems, I quit using ninja for placing orders.
Also many times during market open ninja rejected orders, and sometimes it told me there is no position, even there was position.
But now with AMP I am placing again orders with ninja.
For that reason every day I close ninja and restart ninja and try to double check, if there is open positions.
Its really silly.
My friend had expensive Ghost trade couple months ago with Mirus.
This Ghost story scared me
i had one on TOS awhile back.. cant remember how much money i was down, but they fixed the problem in about a half hour and refunded my money.. scary at first but once i got my cash back was no big deal..
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
I was using Ninja w/ Zenfire through Dorman and I had issues where orders were being sent out in mass amounts at different price levels. It happened twice then Dorman's risk dept finally shut me down. Fortunately I made money but it was scary. I am with Amp now and have no issues so far. I am wondering if the issues these users are having is because of holding overnight positions or closing the platform with open oco orders.
Why ghost trades are impossible - All "Live" trades received by the exchange are logged with a time stamp, exchange order number, user IDs, IP addresses, etc... - this is the trade log being referred to. In order for an exchange to open a position, it has to receive an actual order from somewhere. All trades from the exchange are processed nightly and reflected on customers statements. This is why it is an important part of a trader's daily regime to review the daily statement and confirm each day's trading activity. This is the activity reported by the exchange for each customer.
If at any time, you have questions or discrepancies with your trading platform-Call the 24 hour trade desk immediately.
Once again, I am here in futures.io (formerly BMT) for this exact reason-to support and explain any "live" trade questions. Please call me directly 312 893 7700 or email me directly: [email protected]
I use Ninja/CQG from AMP. I do 300+ trades each month. Here is the lesson I learnt since 1995, guarantee to work for any platform, never hold any trades overnight, when in doubt shut it down to see if any message pop up, shut down and back up daily.
Please don't disturbe this thread. Dan.
I am talking Ghost trades like those that your platform don't show traders which are active. The Trader don't have any kind of clue he/she have a position open. And some cases your platform had placed order what trader have not placed.
