I would like to know how all the Sierra Chart traders ( and TT traders) solve the problem of not having any news feed integrated in the trading platform?
TV and Internet are just to slow for economic data like Treasury auction results, jobless claims ect.
Any suggestions...?

Used to avoid news time, but now trading with Sierra without news, I am actually more profitable. I just concentrate on price instead of worry about the news
Just my two cents : On the economic data that is released shortly before public announcement the fees are high and won't come from a news service that I know of, they come straight from the issuing party, on jobs numbers etc... bloomberg tv reads as it comes up, but those numbers that are released from gov't are released to media prior to public and often leaked as seen in market action - I personally do not believe that an edge is gained and a great deal of money is spent to gain a few seconds that you would not be able to react to anyways, the computers that feed the news also read the news from each other and trade from it before it reaches the eyes of a human being
: I have sierra charts and do not see a news feed option but haven't looked too much
The timeliest that I know of is to have a pit feed with someone that reads straight from the board as numbers are posted I think that Ben gives the numbers but it's been awhile not sure.... || Welcome to Traders Audio ||
