Determining Status Bar Text

Is anyone aware of a way to get the text of the status bar that is on the bottom right corner of the Control Center? For clarification, attached is a screen shot that shows the status bar boxed in red. I am hoping there is some built in method in NT that will return it instead of needing to use something like Windows API to grab the text. Joe
