I do not use DOM's and use Chart Trader minimised to preserve screen real estate. I trade 6 instruments (1 chart per instrument) across 3 screens.
I trade some instruments in SIM and others LIVE and will swap this around during the day based on market conditions and risk tolerance.
So, in the heat of the trading moment, to be sure I know if I am about to place a SIM or LIVE trade on a particular chart/instrument (I use HotKeys to place orders) I need some way of identifying if that chart/instrument is currently set to SIM or LIVE in Chart Trader (without having to maximise the Chart Trader window).
How can I create such an INDICATOR to mark the chart as such?
I understand from this forum that Account.Name and GetAccountValue and AccountItem etc are not available to use in an Indicator.
I have already requested a modification to NT such that the Chart Trader minimised button is coloured the same colour as the expanded Chart Trader background, so this would work if you have selected a different background colour for SIM Account under Chart Trader Properties.
It is not practical to change the Chart label to notate SIM or LIVE in the Data Series as you would have to remember to change this every time you swapped a chart/instrument from SIM to LIVE and back again.
There must be some way of doing something so simple???
NT say there is no SUPPORTED way of doing this, which makes me think there is a way, but NT don't want to tell me as it is not supported.
