Is it possible with NT7 To have multiple orders entered at once?

For example, say mkt is as 5 and I wanted to enter a sell limit at 7 and 10 and a buy limit at 3 and 1; all of them with an identical target and stop. And no this is not a OCO type situation, these are four separate trades.

I trade price, not setups and it would make my life so much easier to just place the trades and be able to walk away without having to enter them individually and wait for execution and completion and then enter the second.

thanks

Yes, that is one of the original value propositions of NinjaTrader.

i read the supplied areas and this does not help. Essentially I am trying to have four seperate orders running on one DOM and I do NOT want any of them to cancel when one is executed. I want all four orders to remain active regardless of other orders being executed.

I will try opening up four seperate static doms and trying this out; but I want to ensure that when one order executes it DOES NOT cancel the other three orders.

@gparkis @NinjaTrader

I struggled getting a workable answer on this as well from the NT forums - I got the impression the NT staff poster did not really understand what I wanted to do.

My situation is slightly different - sometimes I want to swing trade and scalp the same instrument at the same time, eg I take a long swing trade on CL and then I see a scalp setup for a short, so I wanted to be able to place a sell trade without it closing the long swing trade. NT said you could do it, but I haven't been able to make it work.

Using more than one DOM and chart does NOT solve the challenge.

The only way I have found to do it is to, say, take the long swing on the CL June contract and the scalp short on the CL July contract (ie effectively two different instruments).

You can do this.

- Open DOM
- Select an ATM strategy
- Submit 1st e try order
- Reselect an ATM strategy
- Submit 2nd entry order

Then repeat two more times.

You will now have four separate active ATM strategies. You do need to pay attention to the ATM strategy selection list and understand its behaviour.

You can do this.

- Select "Display Selected ATM.." mode
- Create an ATM for your swing and enter
- Now create another for your scalping
- In this mode, only the selected ATM will show in the DOM meaning, only the orders and the position held by the ATM will display, not the total NET position from your combine swing and scalp trades

NT ATM was specifically designed for this purpose since this is how I personally traded.

This has nothing to do with the trading platform, but your account/broker. If you want to do this, then you need to set up two accounts with NT.

It is true that you can't be long and short in a single account however, this is what makes NinjaTrader unique. Our ATM strategies can track orders and positions relative per strategy giving the virtual impression that you are long and short in the same account.

If one wants to run different strategies, I might suggest that he use opens two separate DOMs to avoid confusion... for example, a "scalp" DOM and a "position" DOM... that may well be faster (helpful especially on fast instruments) than having to select the active ATM strategy in one DOM.
