Optimus Trading (@mattz) has introduced a new mobile trading application called NinjaTerminal.
This app lets you do some really cool stuff from your Android phone and control NinjaTrader. Some examples are take trades (open and close positions), enable/disable strategies, view realtime quotes, and view realtime Profit and Loss.
It works with any broker --- but if you are an Optimus customer there are free versions available and the Pro version is available at a discount.
I'm the programmer behind the NinjaTerminal. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or ask here.
Also, any feedback is more than welcome. I appreciate any suggestions or gripes, I am listening, and I'm working tirelessly to improve this application.
Thanks,
Zach

Had a quick read. I take it you need a Static IP address??
In NZ it would be very rare for a home internet user to have a Static IP address unless they are hosting their own web site from their home server.
We don't have cable internet (well only in limited areas), it is mainly all ADSL.
For me to access my home trading computer when I am away from home, I have to use something like Log Me In, and you really need to do this from another computer due to the graphical representation not being suited to say an iPhone.
As far as a static IP goes, with solutions like dyndns, you don't need a static IP. However, I am aware that the setup is difficult and am working on a new solution for version 2 that will not require you to know your IP or to do anything with ports. You'll simply have a username and a password. Not only will this be easier, but it will also be more secure.
In regards to the graphical representation, what do you mean exactly?

Thanks for your input @energetic, I am considering speaking with @mattz, my partner and seeing if we can't work out either a monthly or quarterly subscription for a cheaper price.
This is just a one time fee. But, as a member of futures.io (formerly BMT) if you PM me, I will help.
Also, consider that we give Optimus user the view only part FREE of charge.

I was refering to products like Log Me In which are not optimised for say the iPhone ie all you can see is a very small version of exactly what is on your computer desktop.
The benefit of your product is you have optimised it display what can usefully be used/seen on a small screen.
To clarify, my only perceived issue with your product was that it requires a static IP address, whereas Log Me In type products don't.
But sounds like you have some thoughts for a solution to this anyway.
What a fantastic idea for a mobile app. I would love to use this, but it just isn't working on my NinjaTrader. I am using NT 7.0.1000.4 (Multi-Broker Live) with Optimus (Vision) and I downloaded the Ninjaterminal off of the website. I imported the NinjaScript fine without errors and then under the strategies tab I selected New Strategy and selected the NinjaTerminal Strategy. I changed the Version to Free and clicked Enable. Nothing happened. It wouldn't enable at all. I changed it to Pro (just for the heck of it) and it loaded all of the NinjaTerminalInternal Strategies. I can't connect with my phone (Android v2.2 - G2 Phone). I am looking to use the free version. What am I doing wrong? Please let me know
Thanks,
Jeff

I'm working as hard as I can to make the setup easier, as I know it's tough, over the weekend a new version will be available that will just require a username and password, none of this port and IP address stuff. Until then however, I'm making myself available to get you guys setup.
Also, whenever you're available PM me and I will get in touch with you to help you setup directly. I can walk you through it.

The site says no more firewall worries, extra security has been added and password protection added, and perhaps the biggest change is now the free version is non-expiring. To be able to place trades you will still need to buy a license but the free version can monitor everything.
Still working out some bugs, so this may be early, but you're welcome to sign up and see how it works. There will just be some updates going on for the rest of this week, while we iron out the issues.

Does your application come in a version that is optimized for a larger tablet screen like the Motorola Zoom or other android based tablets?
I currently autotrade and am looking for a solution to monitor ninjatrader activity without having to be in front on my PC using VNC or Logmein style monitoring. I did not see any charts on your website. Are you able to look at the charts or is this solely limited to text based trading?
Currently, it's just text based. Coming in the next version is charting, the iPhone version, and an optimized screen for both iPad and Android Tablets. So the answer to all your questions is 'soon'. Haha, sorry, it's just me developing and I'm doing my best to get everything out as quickly and as stable as possible.

I'm about 50% done with the iOS version. I've just gotten all the kinks worked out of Android and so now I can focus 100% on the iOS one. Give it a few weeks, I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Would you consider setting the parameter to automatically set the enable parameter to 'true'. So we can apply it to the chart and then click OK instead of having to set the 'Enabled' parameter to true? I have forgotten to set it to true a couple of times. In my strategies, I have accomplished by using the following code to set the parameter
#if NT7
Enabled = true;
#endif
Thank you for your consideration.

I have iPhone5 and bought NinjaTerminal this past Oct 19th.
Downloaded iPhone app.
Loaded NinjaTerminal on my NT platform.
Product did not load on my NT7 platform.
Email exchanges with Zach Wentz a few times during the day to resolve.
He then confirmed that NinjaTerminal does not load or something (email tech talk) when it was previously saved in a workspace etc etc.
He then stated in email that he knows it's "irritating" but wanted me to be "set-up" and he was "refunding my app purchase through iTunes now," and will try to find solution to get it to work.
I haven't heard from him since, emailed him 6 times since then to get NinjaTerminal up and running.
And still no refund per his email.
So I am not sure what is going on here.
I really want to get this up and running.
Did anyone else run into this issue about NinjaTerminal strategy not loading on the platform due to some workspace issues?
I'd rather get this up and running as oppose to a refund.
No clue.
Since my last email I received from them, they promised to refund my purchase and fix it for me.
But they dropped off the face of the earth.
I have emailed them several times to no evail.
Are they not associated with Optimus and @mattz ?
Maybe he can help?
This is a vendor we have tried to work together with in order to bring something useful for the community.
I even paid for some development, and asked my designer to create the initial button icons.
Sadly, this vendor never delivered the plans and the scope anticipated.
We have no association with this vendor.
This is business. Some things workout, some don't.
Lets all move on.
Matt

You can use Real VNC as well over mobile devices. Works well.
