last post about bdt

so i have to move onto other projects so here is my review of the bdt from proindicators
1. show me dots pretty good as long as you follow the rules
2. us market sentiment ok, nothing speacial but works ok
3. trend ok, nothing speacial but ok
4. trend strength dont like
5. automator didnt mess with it

the system is better than some,is it the holy grail no but its pretty good,i would use your own indicators along with the show me dots and you could make it even better, ive watched each indicator and the only one i really liked was the show me dots its pretty uncanny in calling good trend pullbacks if you have a blue dot and you know your in a up trend place a limit order a couple of ticks above the dot and let the market trigger the trade it might take 2 or 3 bars but it will unless the trend changes then you just cancle the trade, and vice versa for red dots. remember dont over trade you need to ask yourself do you want to work all day or make money everyday and have time to study or play or be with family you can always add contracts and trade less,if your first trade is a winner walk away you dont need to take 10 trades per day your just asking for trouble with any method if you trade so much,if your first trade is a loser then trade untill your breakeven or ahead alittle you can always come back tomorrow...sharky

about the vendor

wanted to say some things about mark the owner of bdt, he was very open with me about his style of trading and his trading history, some of his methods i would never do,but he has grown and found better methods of trading as his knowledge has improved,he didnt tie my hands when it came to me looking into the code so i could understand why the indicators where doing what they where doing he asked me up front if i wanted anything in return , i declined as i have a motto to do everything for free so that i can pass along to the new guys all the help ive received and so that i can have a unbias opinion, the customer support was good and quick and he will alow anyone here to have this system at the old price for awhile,im sure not forever but for a couple of weeks, so over all i give mark and his system 3 out of 4 sharkfins...sharky

... for some one who knows how to trade you just trade its second nature to hit buy or sell as your mind already knows if its a high probability trade, when im right im really right when im wrong i know really fast, ...

I think this basically sum up everything about someone who succeeded in trading

review after thought

so i wanted to say even though my review is finished that in 2010 i did find several systems easier to understand and use,and also just because i can make a system work doesnt make it a good system, i could take birdcrap and make money with it,you must look at the system and do your own research, find out as much as you can positive and negetive, then use any system as a learning tool to futher develope your understanding of the market and perhaps start formulating your own system peice by peice, have a good weekend...sharky

Shodson, have you tested your strat in EL

Shodson,
have you programmed your 95-100% winning strategy for ES into tradestation as a strategy for backtesting?
let me know, please.

Updated review for 2015 (different results to Sharky likely)

Just purchased Black Diamond Trader for purely for entertainment and evaluation purposes. I love testing out trading systems and I will give this one a go. (Wanted to give myself a Happy New Year toy.)

I'll try to post regular updates as to how it's going...

By the way I will be testing BDT using a small seed account size of approx $1000.

Just my small way to contribute to this community and for those searching for a trading method/system.

The "dots" in the ad blurb reminded of the "Better" indicators. just so happens with the "pro" keyword, the old
thread on the question of coding something similar to "better pro am" was shown below on this thread page.

pro indicators (www.proindicators.com)

So I tried out the BDT...absolutely rubbish! The signals don't work half the time...

Anybody is way better off learning candlesticks and combining this with DOM.
