The difference with Perry's method is that Charles insists more on the context than Perry does. For some, it can make a difference. The basic trending system as proposed in his thread here on futures.io (formerly BMT) is complete in my opinion. No need to add the kwikpop or JSServices's levels.

I hear that cjbooth shutdown his website, and the live trading room. His method was mainly based on Nextgen.

Nextgen with a personal twist. As a replacement to JSServices's levels i would recommend Pamela Ludwig's levels which in my opinion are far more accurate, dynamic and less expensive. Someone could use them with the footprint alone and make a profitable system. I'll try to post a review of her indicator in the coming days.

Is this your chart or Pamelas? I call this type of chart seeing the forest without the trees, simple but effective. Only draw back you have to trade a smaller percentage of you account so if its reverses in the beginning, you don't blow ur account especially if your trading a high leverage instrument like the ES

Hi Everyone,

The bum WAS me!
Still been working on my daytrading. Completed a Cert in Technical analysis.
Created a method that builds further on Nexgen system, Charles's system and a few other GREATs like PerryG.

I call it a method not a system, because a "system' implies that if you do A=B you will get C=Success. And in a marketplace that is always in flux, that is a fantasy. Blow a 15K accounts during all this time. Documenting my method for publication later in the year.

Method looks at two timeframes, multiple common indicators BUT not from stock. The common indicators are supercharged. They are made by Jurik.- they offer minimal wiggle and have better timing performance.

I trade Euro/USD during the london session, focus on as few trades as possible(Ideal is ONE AND DONE!)@
4 contracts, three for one point, and a rider with tight incremental stoploss til 8 ticks, then Stoploss loosens up a bit. Initial R/R is 1:1, risk /reward becomes dynamic on the forth(rider) contract once incremental target is achieved. I am enrolling in the Robbins trading cup contest. Hope to do well enough to use that endorsement when I provide my method for purchase.

Sincerely,

The Bum that could'nt stay down....LOL

Quoting another trader on here: "I love Charles's style of determining Price structure on the 1508 chart with all its nuances for a Long trade, Short trade, Pick and roll, etc. However I found my trade entry determination and ultimately trade profitablilty slightly improved when I used Perry's entry stratagy on the 377 chart. I personally found it to be less ambigious than Charlies 377 entry setup/criteria, and after all isn't that what we are all striving for, less ambiguity and better entry selection?

Will test it "Live" next week with 1 contract."

Good point about mixing ideas from other systems Bobby. I've done the same with my old methods combined with CJ's methods. CJ's 6e for more of the major swings, and my mixed system modified from other methods I took ideas from, for the scalping "in-between" the CJ6e waiting, when there is no current or clear signal. Watching how CJ does it, showed it can be done with patiently waiting, sometimes even hours ,something I didn't quite see and experience while looking for the "big swing" move before. But just like that the entry could be missed before you know it even if caught asleep for a minute, so some degree of constant vigilance seems required. Yes, I would second thanks to Charles for all his full help and giving us hope.

Now , it's just worrisome the last two weeks hasn't been that great for the CJ6e method on the 6e. With the 6e going nowhere enough to make a clear signal for long stretches, or suddenly trending without a good trigger, or ruining a CJ6e setup right at the trigger point, or even stop running an entry before resuming. Which seems to have happened more than few times in the last two weeks. I hope this doesn't spell the beginning of the end of the edge of the CJ6e system.

Bobbyacim reply: Charles's market structure analysis was very sound., especially the staircase theory of trend recognition. Its right out of Dow theory and Edwards and Magee. What I did not like about the JR s/r lines were that they were static. Currently i am using a a vendor's indicator that creates a dynamic S/R levels along with Jurik precision versions of a few common indicators.

Hi Bobby! Glad to see you're back. Thanks for the update. I just kept seeing the "bum sidewalk" picture on the featured area periodically often whenever I logged on to nexusfi.com (formerly BMT). Congrats on your cert in TA. Where does one sign up for that? Ah, that's my quote about the 1508 back then. CJ has since dumped the 1508 and changed to the 1131 tick.

CJ's method was just too slow for me to wait for on the 6E especially with the Euro moving around like a zombie these past few months. I still keep the 1131 up in case I see a CJ long/short setup, or some kind of W or M, but that's about it for me. I've moved on to scalping on the YM and CL.

CJ's room seems closed now. He only does Skype now. I still have my groupa package of kwik-pop and js lines and use them in my current scalping methods.

I haven't read Edwards and Magee or Dow, but yes, CJ's trend trade I've seen with other names such as Wave2 of an Elliot wave and Brook's M2H.

Looking forward to hearing any news about your new method. Have you thought about doing a journal here using it?
