At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Is WorldCupAdvisor above board -- reviews? (www.worldcupadvisor.com)

In a reply to post I made, Twiddle mentioned the World Cup Championship as an example of a successful trader. I looked at the site and it looks like there are traders that present their trades in real-time. You can also subscribe to AutoTrade which is a service that places their trades (presumably within seconds) in an account you set up. I assume their business model is collect subscription fees, but they may take a cut on the trades too. The returns are beyond impressive, which makes me skeptical. Anyone on futures.io (formerly BMT) that either has experience with Worldcupadvisor or maybe worked for them?

I checked their site, and we have been working with one of their guys, Rob Mitchell, CTA.
I consider him one of the better traders and most educated programmers when
it comes to programming the logic into automation.
We have some of his automation and run his managed account.
I can share results with those that are interested (Only PM Please)

When I get in touch with customers of WCA, for the most part they like them.

PM with any questions about optimusfutures (800) 771-6748 (561) 367 8686. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS IN FUTURES TRADING.

World Cup Advisor - My Experience

I opened an account with Striker Securities in July 2018 for the purpose of using the services of one of the World Cup Advisors (Patrick Slevin) who had demonstrated a reliable and impressive, though brief, record as a trader. The fee to shadow Mr. Slevin's trades was $250 per month. The brokerage made their money by charging about $35 per trade for each futures contract traded.

I deposited $12,500 in mid July and by the end of August my account was down to $9908, a loss of more than 20% in about 6 weeks. What a dismal failure!

Let me make it clear that I am not suggesting anything fraudulent happened. I watched the trades take place daily and was kept aware through daily statements of exactly what was happening. I found Striker Securities and World Cup Advisors to be operated with integrity as far as my experience went with them. But I am not in it to get detailed reports of my money being lost through poor trading. I was in it to make money, not lose it, and on those grounds I cannot recommend World Cup Advisors.

One note about Patrick Slevin. These trading results happened to coincide with the markets reaching an all time high which possibly affected his trades as it presents a challenge for most traders. I was not interested in risking anymore loses, however, and bailed with my $2600 loss in 6 weeks. That says it all.

Sorry to hear your experience with World Cup advisor. Back in July I spoke with a sales represtative to signup the leader following program as well. And wanted to find if he still has a program with John Ehlers, upon which he insisted that I follow Patrick Slevin’s program instead. Patrick’s program was up at $13000 at that time. He did mention that most of the systematic traders were having a difficult time and were in a drawdown and that Patrick Slevin uses disteceational methods and that he would be a better choice.
Nothing wrong that the systems go in a drawdown. But it looks like most if not all of their programs are in a drawdown.

I actually chose Slevin because he is a daytrader and assumed he would assess the trend of the day and be nimble enough to follow it. I knew this summer would be a tough environment. I traded the EMD all the days that Slevin lost money and on all but one day I made money--sometimes a good amount and sometimes just enough to cover my costs. I must have gotten in with Slevin about the same time you were thinking about it. Well, you did good to stay away. I'm closing my account with them. I think I can do better.
