Hi,

Does anyone of you have experience with Channel-Trading.com? If yes, what kind of methodology is he using besides Market Profile?

Thanks!

Huddy is very good at what he does. He uses primarily price action and price structure to trade. He uses market profile to determine areas to lean on. He is very disiplined and has very few few losing days. He is a master at taking very little heat and milking his runners to the max.

I just watched their webinar.

Trade Angle Strategies: TAS is a systems developer of Automated Systems and Analytical Tools.

He makes a number of very interesting observations about market movement and market profiles.

I printed off some slides I liked.

Timestamps - 17:01, 20:05, 21:55, 25:52, 33:34, 38:26

Well worth watching in my opinion.

Does he use the Volume Ladder to finetune his entries?

I see he is doing a webinar today at 4:15 ET at OnlineTradercentral.com
I have heard mixed reviews, I may check it out. I think lots of break even trades and small losers, some nice multiple contract winners = Net .....not much? Lot of commissions ha
He posts his trades on Twitter. He had an ugly week the first week of Nov. I saw

He uses mostly price action along with market profile and NYSE VOLD and ADD. He has market delta so he also uses footprints and volume breakdown to fine tune his trades.. It would probably be good to watch his webinar today and let him explain what he does.

Also, Rjay's post number 4 on this thread mentions another good webinar to look at.

Hope this helps.

Hey all,
Quick breakdown close to 50% winners, 25% BE(or +1 to cover comm.), 25% small loss. Very good discipline and money management. Last week Nov. was a losing week since April I believe. Huddy has updated and is using TAS tools (not fond of it yet). Risk : Reward 3-1. One thing that stuck to me when I signed up "He says all of you that signed up will not make it!!!" Is this what you wanna hear when you join? But, I tell you what that is the fear that I needed to ignite and stick to the game plan. If your new to mp and need help with your discipline then I can definitely recommend a 1 month trading room you will learn alot (I did).

Babypowder.

Has anyone been in Huddy's Channel-Trading room lately? Thinking of signing up; but would like some current reviews/input. How does he call his trades ie. audible, on the charts or text?

Thanks

I have a friend in the room right now and he said Huddy calls the trades audibly and has been profitable every day he has been in the room and gets some nice runners, has small stops, takes little heat, and gets out of losing trades quickly

I am a new member of Channel Trading and must say I have been impressed with his trading acumen, teaching attitude, and trade management discipline. Having tried several trade rooms, his is by far the best. His risk to reward ratios are excellent, the best I have seen. Friday I took one of the trades he called out (6E), risking 5 ticks to earn 4, 10, 18 ticks on 3 scaled contracts. He usually looks for 30-40 tick potential trades, risking 4-6 ticks.

In my opinion, he was a lot better when he traded the ES vs. the 6E. He doesn't give precise entry numbers on 6E and instead gives an area of about a 5 ticks for entry. Since he scales starting at +4 ticks you can have completely different results based on your entry fill. When I see his his trades documented on twitter I wonder where he gets some of those fill numbers. After taking out commissions my experience with him over a few months was a little better than break-even.

I have the same thoughts as Saw Dr. after a few months. After taking out all the commissions you are about break even. Using his method you absolutely have to trade 3 or more contracts or you will probably lose. If you do trade multiples you probably won't lose, but in my opinion you won't make much though either.

Thank you for your comments. Being new in the room, I don 't have much track record and don't take all his trades since I am often in my own trades at the time. I have employing his approach to capture larger moves in other markets and signed up for his volume/market profile tool, which has proved quite useful.

Appreciate your insights into the transition from ES to 6E. Huddy believes that it is much more profitable to trade the 6E. Interesting to hear that it has been mostly breakeven for you. I will need to pay closer attention to what net results would be taking all his trades, since I really don't.

I am in Channel Trading's Room. Kevin calls out audible. Has been a good learning experience. He is very good at what he does and calls out trades that have a very good risk to reward ratio. Highly recommended.

Hudson was using the TAS Indicators and singing praises about them, but I don't know if he still does, as he has his own indicator software now. Actually I don't think TAS are selling or leasing their stuff to the public atm.
Hudson himself has some good quality stuff now and I especially like his ProChannel and ProChannel Oscillator.

I've been trading since 1958. Yes, we actually did trade THAT far back, by telephone. Over the years I have made and lost thousands. I've spent thousands more on courses, books, seminars, lectures, and trading/chat rooms - ALL designed to to improve my trading skills. Today, there are literally hundreds of trading/chat rooms available to any trader. I've used a number of them over the years. Some good, soon bad, and everywhere in between. Huddy, with Channel-Trading does the BEST job of anyone I have ever used. Period. He is conservative and so accurate that it's almost scary. He also spends a LOT of time educating his members. If you are looking for a serious place to learn how to trade the ES successfully, or just for someplace that will take you to the next level with your trading, look no further. You will not find anyone out there who will be a better job for you - bar none.

It would be beneficial if you were to find out the facts before you rush to judgement.
I am in NO way associated with this vendor other than as a PAYING customer.
I posted the information in hopes it would help other traders. I won't make that mistake again.
You obviously don't have any interest in the opinions of others.

Perhaps its buyers remorse. Buy first, ask questios later. Don't bother calling me an idiot, I have been an idiot my whole life amongst other unsavory things.

I have been trying to learn about market profile latley. I have been reading books and searching all the threads on futures.io (formerly BMT) I can find on it. I am interested in finding traderooms that teach or use market profile. so my search has brought me to this thread. I am considering 2 rooms Channel-trading and The trading Zone. I am willing to spend $99.00 for a 1 month trial for Channel trading and have already spent a week in The trading Zone, but couldn't get a good feeling for their method and at $3100.00 for a life time membership I need more feedback. does anyone in futures.io (formerly BMT) have any experience with The Trading Zone ?

Perhaps we should develop a 12 step prgram for pricey indicators, educational (yeah right) programs, and trading rooms. I try not to comment or be negative with these things, but I have spent a ton of money on them and none of them worked for me. It was probobly my fault anyway, but you shouldn't have to shell big $$$ to find out, and to be honest, the "week free trial" any of them offer IS NOT enough time to see if it will work for me anyway. This goes for any of the programs I did and even the ones I have never done. I have been on the education/room "wagon" for a few months now and finding my own path is the best thing I have done.

Easy guys I have been a member of Channel-trading for over a year and I still surf to find other peoples opinons. I admit TRSTexas did seem a little over positive with his comments, but if he is 75, we (i am 65) have a tendency to feel good about things we do right.

I have a life time menbership on 3 rooms:
1. The trading Zone
2. Jpjtrading
3 Channel-trading

1 the trading zone... I can not say much how profitable he is now. because I stop all my relations with him, after I witness how he was getting his information. I was in jptrading room when he come and make friends with jp and after
he got what he want he stab jp and leave the room and use the info that he never pay for and put it in his web side and sell it.( very incomplete info)..jp was very sad because he like the guy.
He did the same in Ingos room and he was very sad because he consider greg his friend.
and probably he continue doing this unethical behavior...pretending is your friend to get info and dont need to pay for.
I never make any money with him ..but that was 10 years ago..dont know how he is doing today..sorry

2 Jptrading...is in the top of Market profile rooms... he come up with a lot of the set ups that most MP use today...yes in that time no one had set ups..to trade out of MP. lately he has been incorporate order flow.
jp use 2 point stop in most of his set ups

3. Channel-trading...hudy use MP, volume at price, price action, fib ret and fib extent. order flow, internals, market correaltion. and he is very good to incorporate all this together. He is very good to spot a good trading location and keep you out of bad ones . he use 1 point stop

Hope it help

I was told he had family issues last week, but have not heard anything this week. His partner Jerry says he doesn’t work for him any more as of Monday. Doesn’t sound good, if its family problems I hope they are not too serious.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but it tells you that you need to be very careful and skeptical about many vendors. I saw this post in another forum:

"Breaking News

Huddy disappeared with some money and is being sued by several associates and being investigated by FBI

"... bought into Channel-trading.com business. got cond into giving him money to invest in a new hedge fund he was opening. Only thing he wd tell us is he was being extorted by some bad guys and had to do what he did. .. opinion is he lost it all trading and it went to far. Either way he won't pay it back says he doesn't hv it. So .. filing a civil siut and the FBI is involved."

Be careful out there"

I don't know what happened, but Huddy basically vanished around the end of May 2012. He claimed a blue screen of death and then family emergencies, but I have heard that those were fabrications. He was a good trader, very disciplined in his techniques and a good teacher. I was in Huddys room for about 6 months. The way that he just left may have left people feeling that they were taken advantage of. I dont know if or where he will show up again, but I certainly would not give him a dime.

wow, I wish I would have read this thread earlier. It might have helped a few guys save their money.
I used to be part of a small CTA firm managing some money and we had Huddy trade a test account since I was in his room and also thought that he might be a good trader. I was never really sure because "all his entries seemed to be too quick for me" if you know what I mean...
Honestly speaking, I have never ever seen such a terrible performance! It was not just the fact that he lost money almost every single day but also the fact that he didnt follow his own rules. In the room he was saying something like "only a moron would trade in this chop" and litterly seconds later he would initiate a trade.
He didnt trade like maniac meaning, he did not violate any risk paramenters we had discussed but he just took loss after loss after loss. After 5 or 6 losing weeks in a row (before that he claimed he only had 1 losing week in his last 4 years) with maybe 3-4 winning days out of 30 we pulled the plug. I had some similar experience with other trading vendors who are promoted here. I really wonder what these people are thinking. Seriously, I think when they "call out" trades (in hindsight of course) in a room long enough they start to believe their own crap and think that they can trade now until they realize the only way they will make money in the markets is by selling their "education". Its really sad, but thats what happens most of the time. Legitimate educators are hard to find but BigMike is doing a great job in helping others.

The other was Chris from fulcrumtrader.
He actually had an account statement to show while he was trading at Velocity futures. The account was from now a friend of mine (Jake). It was very limited time, maybe like 6-8 weeks of "track record" where he made like 20% profit but with ultra high risk.
We started him out with a daily max loss limit of 5k or so. I dont remember exactly but he had position limits of maybe 5 FDAX contracts, 10 ES etc.
ON THE VERY FIRST DAY he would go in an short 3 FDAX, add 2 more, .... ADD another 3, add another 5. When he was at 15 contracts short and the market was still going against him we had to kick him out of the trading platform! I then spoke with him and he said that this would not happen anymore. He gave some silly excuses like he thought he could buy/sell as many contracts as wanted as long as he stays below the daily loss limit... LOL...
The next 3 days there was not 1 trade where he did not violate the agreed risk parameters until we fired him!
Thats about how it happend. Its about 3 years ago so I dont remember the very details but he was trading like a complete maniac. He always mentioned his "accordion" but its basically nothing than an average down method.
He lost about 20-30k or so and after 1 week of "trading" we had seen enough!
Unfortunately he also blew out the total account of my friend Jake. He is yet to "refund him" LOL ... Never heard since from the guy!
He is a scharlatan who can not trade. Point!

I see, so its probably you made a comment in Ray Barros blog, I posted it here in futures.io (formerly BMT) and this was Chris response.

I was told about this other thread/post some time ago and it is not accurate - I have never in my life traded for any prop firm so I have no idea where someone came up with that one (and I have never traded the Accordion in any prop group). I traded for a private equity group for about a year, and we had monthly returns of 3.3% to 8.1% in all the months I was there - never ever traded prop. Also, as I have mentioned here before...I am no longer a part of FulcrumTrader since that was taken over completely by the TradersHelpDesk group.

Currently, I trade my own funds and I have been working on a Kitplane project which I have wanted to do for some time. In the couple of years I was running FulcrumTrader, I met and interacted with some really great people - and there were about 3 that I have had disputes with for various reasons (sometimes people tick you off and you just don't want to deal with them). All in all, I am glad I set up FulcrumTrader to demonstrate a method for using Cumulative Delta. In the end, trading is an individual sport so each trader has to ultimately figure out (on their own) how to handle their personal trading - and this of course is everyones challenge.

yeah that was me!
To be straight, Chris is lying. He traded for us and I could easily prove that... Actually not so easily as I would have to search through my old laptop and find the emails, agreements etc. I could prove everything. However I dont see any need to spend a few hours of time to search through my emails because of another lying vendor crook...

since you make the accusation you do have duty to supply the proofs.

Does anyone know if his indicators are available to purchase anywhere? I noticed he had teamed up with Ninjatrader. I am especially interested in the Delta divergence indicator. Haven't been able to find one anywhere.

Thanks all.

I have some friends that were closer to Huddy than me, I have asked them, but I doubt that they have the keys. I will write if I find a positive answer. His stuff was not that great. You can find adequate substitutes in Big Mikes, IMHO

Good Luck
Bob

The programmer is willing to sell lifetime licenses for the software . The bundle would be Profile Max, Accumulatre Delta and VWAP. Let m know if you are interested... Actually, I dont think that we are supposed to sell anything on BigMikes, so we will have to connect outside of the site.

Thx
Bob
