Jim Dalton - Advanced Nuances and Exception Ecourse
I have a little history with Jim . I spent 4 years as one of his students . I am a fan as well . There is not likely a lot of new information in his new E course . There will be some in the course but it will be no game changer . There are a few things most students do not know about Jim . He spent most of his career working orders for other brokers . Not trading his own account He was a broker at one time with the owner of the software window trader blue . He is a expert , may be the best in the world at understanding market conditions . However he is not a day trader . He has no trade set ups . When he takes a trade it would take him 30 min. to tell you why he did so . He has it all in his head . It just comes to him at some point from all his years at looking at markets . He was more of a swing trader trading options on the SPY when I was a student . He is no scammer . Market Profile is not quick or easy . If you bought every course he has and took all his intensives , it would take two or three years to digest that material .
Thanks for your input, much appreciated.
I have taken 2 of his intensives, plus I have their Field of Vision and also Live Markets recorded seminars. Have watched these seminars umpteen times. And of course, I have read both his books numerous times.
Have been studying his stuff for about 1.5 years now - so far the way he looks at markets using profile and volume has really worked for me.
I was just curious if somebody had bought his advanced nuances course and had feedback on content. But like you said, I may not get anything new out of it so it may not be worth spending the $1400 price.
i would not think so . the key for me in using his material was learning how to I.D. the opening types in real time on the hard right edge with the key reference points . open action , open action rejection , opening drive and opening test drive . you know what and where the key reference points are after 1.5 years . over night high low POC , afternoon pull back high or low . yesterdays value high low POC . Day type , nuances like a spike or incomplete areas in the profile one time framing , over night inventory yesterdays close , rules of balance ect..ect . How did the market reach the area and how did it react to the area when it gets there . that is not as easy . you will notice there is a huge whole in Jim s work . trade management ... how to find a trade , where and how to enter the trade , what is the risk / reward , where to put your stop , and how to manage the trade . The reason for that , he is trading options 4 to 6 weeks out on the SPY. and sell trading courses . .
