Hi,

I am a user of Nexgen but I can't tell you how to emulate the macd BB, because the Nexgen indicator macdBB does not have any setting at all. It just runs on their default setting

Thanks for the reply. I did not realize that. There's a company called New Futures Trading International - New Futures Trading - A way of life... - that uses the MACDBB on Tradestation, and he has the settings, but he's not saying.

I guess there's always trial and error. But I don't have a clear screenshot of the original. If you have time, perhaps you could post one.

Best,
Chuck

Thanks for the screenshot Wuudi, I appreciate it, but I meant I was looking for a screenshot of the MACDBB from the NexGen software, so I could try to match up the shape with various settings in NinjaTrader. In NinjaTrader, you have to select the MACD and Bollinger settings. Have you found some settings which coincide with NexGen?

It looks like you've got pretty much the whole thing replicated.

Thanks again,
Chuck

I realize that Wuudi, but the question is, what are the settings (both NT and NexGen). In NinjaTrader, if you rt-click the chart, select Indicators, and from the Indicators panel, select the indicator, on the right top you will see Parameters. What do you have for:
# of Std Dev
BarPeriod
Fast
Slow
Smooth

Also, the NexGen may be different, which is what I'm trying to discern. So, I was looking for a chart of the NexGen software (which you say has the settings built in) to compare to the NinjaTrader (for which settings can be customized).

Hope that clarifies.

Thanks for your help,
Chuck

Well that's exactly what I posted.
What you see is a 220tick chart of the 6E with all the nexgen indicators. The bottom window IS the MacdBB from Nexgen and there are no settings available for that.

This is the Indicator screenshot:

Could you post a 5-min chart? Would make it easier to compare with the NinjaTrader indicators.

Thanks Wuudi, now I (finally) get what you're saying. I have a NT MACDbb indicator which has the settings. I didn't realize their indicators were for NT (which explains how you replicated their whole system on NT). Thanks again.
