I understand but I just joined Big Mikes Forum (couple weeks). Your observations are correct with his actual trading room. What I am endorsing is his actual Market Profile Bootcamp. I have read most of the relavant MP Books and Reza's bootcamp gives the same info but it is explained in a way that I could understand it better. Some of the MP books out there I found a little confusing. Considering it covers ths same info that others charge 3k for (based on the publishjed outlines of the courses), I felt the couple hundred bucks I paid for the bootcamp money well spent.

This is what I find fascinating: just knowing market profile concepts is not enough to make money in trading. i struggled with that for a while myself, which is why i did the trial of reza's room. in the end it all comes down to really understanding the auction process and i think that's the part that reza has missed.

For those who want to truly learn this, I highly recommend watching all of Dalton's free webinars several times as well as futurestrader71's webinars which require a small donation to charity. and of course lots of practice studying the markets & applying the concepts.

I was a member of this room for a long time and can confirm that it is a big rip-off. Results posted on the site are fake, none of the setups that were used showed any profit when backtesting them, a lot of really simple stuff was presented as advanced ideas. He even traded on a simulator for a long time claming it was real money.

Profiletraders.com is just a super shady site and I would advice anyone who wants to learn market profile to save your money.

Don't waste your money with profiletrader, this guy only Sim-trades, and everyone of his so called posted trades are from a Simulator. While I was in his room on a trial he never showed his live DOM once, shocking when you consider the guy to be a 1 lot trader.

I've also notice that he continually adds to his losing position even if it go's against him by 4 pts, or 30cts and more. If there were real money on the line, trust me, no one in their right mind would do this. They would just bail on the trade when there stop is hit for a small loss.

I guess he doesn't need to use a stop because its all Simtrades anyway. Can you image trading this way and there is a strong trend day up/down and your on the wrong side of the trade, say bye bye trading account, especially if you keep adding to your losing position. Its only going to take 3 - 4 of these and you're out of business real fast.

I have taken most of Reza's courses and found them very valuable. After taking his courses his trade room is for free (ie no monthly charges). Hes got his own approach to Market Profile and also uses various other approaches which he teaches through the courses. I have been in many rooms and i must say that very few people are as honest as Reza, he posts his trades before they happen (unlike) most, stop levels etc. Sure at times he adds to loosing trades providing they still fit criterias (so does every prop firm in town). ofcourse he has loosing trades and even days, as every trader has. But all in all his calls make profits and the room is educational itself, and a fun place to hang out. He doesnt sell himself as calling out trades, he merely posts what he is doing himself, up to anyone to follow, or use levels, as stops, entries, to learn or trade.

ive seen prob 15-20 rooms over the years, and today just hang out in one and thats Reza's for 3 years now. Most people are charlatans in the business of indicators, education, rooms etc, so rare to come across something i like.

But dont expect someone else to make money for you, that wont ever ever happen, you still gotta do the learning, develop your own approach, take your own decisions, that wont ever change no matter what room your in.

cheers
p

I am looking at this room for a place to learn Market Profile. There are some bad reviews and some good ones as well. Are you still using this room? Can you say the trading as taught and practiced is consistent and profitable? Any details would be great, I have watched a few of his videos so I understand his basic methodology.

Yes im still spending time in the room and Reza's approach and methodology is unique to him. He is teaching MP and other tools. Now as with any education it is up to the trader to apply this teachings into his/her trading. Reza calls out his trades before making them, with stops and targets and also calls out any changes to the plan ahead of plan. Like any trader he will have loss deals but overall his calls makes money. Saying that you never wanna join a room to blindly follow someone elses calls, it can give you ideas, but you have to have your own plan in place with entry criteria and most importantly risk management. I dont blindly follow any trade calls, but have my own plan and views which i use as a basis for my trades. I do enjoy hanging out in Rezas room as trading can easily become rather isolated and i like the social aspect of it as well as idea/brainstorming place, on top of the education.
Hope that helps, feel free to ask anything i might have missed.

Hi Mattguin,
I will be joining his room on 1st Auguest or so. Basically learning MP and I have read very good reviews. Some 4 -5 years old reviews are not that good but recent ones are good. I will also be buying AuctionDashboard (footprint and profile) or Criticaldata (only profile) one of those soon. I hope that will give me what Reza uses otherwise will stick to old GOMI .

I am not related to any room or Reza. Just my independent opinion.

Sounds good. Now since you raise some points in your post thought to give you my thoughts. In regards to software, Reza uses investor rt, with a traditional Market Profile setup (not volume profile) and some other prop charts. In my opinion the market profile charts can be done on Ninjatrader using something like finalg or rancho dinero, not sure about the ones you listed but will take a look at them now. Looking forward to see you in the room if you decide to join. Try to get a trial for a few days so that can judge yourself if this is for you. Also pls rememember Reza doesn't use or teach volume profile or order flow but Market Profile.
