Looks like the same stuff they've always done. Make a new variation of their signals indicator than name it something else. ex: "PTU trend jumper, seven summits, keltnerbells", etc. now it's "spotlight" something.. And probably showing a new backtesting upsloping fitted sim "equity curve"(backtested) of "last year". I recall they even called themselves some "university" site with darker colors at some point.

At least forexpeacearmy has some newer testimonials (just take care to mentally filter out the shill posts):

Has anyone tried backpack trader? Spotlight trader? Troy

I had put this review on a Forex site, but found someone had asked on this platform, and I would like to share my experiences of the good, the bad and the ugly. (I condensed it a bit.)

This review is primarily concerning the CPX2 and Forex. To be fair, it may or may not work with Futures.

First, the training.
He starts out saying "I've organized these videos so that you can learn the strategy in a step by step fashion".
As I went through the first video, within ten minutes he jumps from the CPX2 indicator to the signal line. The signal line is not what I want to learn about since it is a common MA indicator available for free.
I understand it is used in the process, but the CPX2 is what I paid for. Needless to say, after a month I was still lost in trying to understand the main indicator.

As he goes through the charts in the training, he says he does not want to show which chart and timeframe he is using the CPX2 on because he wants to demonstrate it works on anything.
But, I think we should know the chart and time frame he is using because the optics tell me he is picking and choosing what he knows looks better. What worked out.
I am not suggesting he is pulling a fast one, but indicators for Forex do not always work and have a high failure rate. Besides, what does it hurt to tell the customer what particular time frame and chart does best? I would like to know so I can focus on that particular chart in order to trade successfully. I need any advantage I can get.

My next complaint is he uses primarily TradeStation for his charting. And this bothers me because I learned about this indicator via a NinjaTrader webinar. I like to follow along and be able to do whatever he is demonstrating. A couple of days ago I told him I could not change the colors on the NT chart, nor could I identify the diamonds appearing on the chart. (This was after he boasts how easy it is to change colors and shapes but this is for TradeStation. Not the platform I was using.

Nevertheless, his response was" I am kind of a dunce when it comes to NinjaTrader" and then calls on another person who uses NinjaTrader, to help with my question, but the other person never responds. So I am not able to make the change at that time.

The CPX2 is very confusing because it has three different trade styles. Labeled as "White Trade" "Green Trade" and "Purple Trade." But this is not easy to follow because YOU have to decide what trade is best suited for which chart and time frame. This is NOT easy. Twenty Eight pairs and multiple time frames makes this impossible with no scanner.
And this is why the training fails. It is minimal, all over the place and not methodical for someone never using this indicator.

Another frustration, is the Live trade room used to find trades. He has six charts opened (only one Forex Pair-the GBPAUD) but is not really utilizing the CPX2.
I thought the trade room is where I would learn to use the CPX2, the indicator purchased? And forget following along because the chart time frames are not available with my platform. For example, how do you put Momentum Bars on NinjaTrader or MT4? But all six of his charts are set for this time frame and style because he uses TradeStation.

And, he is displaying a completely different indicator while he is trading. Not the CPX2, but a different indicator he is marketing WHAT ABOUT THE CPX2? He does switch them around from time to time, but the focus is more on the newer indicator. So as a person trying to learn how to use the CPX2 on live charts, I don't get much instruction at all in the trade room. As I said earlier, the training videos were not "step by step" and in my opinion, turned out more to be trophy vids than training vids. "See how this worked out" is what I heard.

As you watch in the live room, you will occasionally hear trade ideas provided, but they are for those who pay for the service. And if they do work for your advantage, they don't necessarily work on Forex Pairs. What do I mean? Several times I have heard a trade called out for the exclusive GBPAUD. (the only Forex pair I see every time the room is open) and I can have the same chart up, BUT, the CPX2 is NOT showing a trade on my charts as it does on their charts. Different Broker and different spread. So I dont get to participate. Different platform or different Broker can make a difference.
The point is, the room is not designed to keep people all on the same page.

The indicator itself on Forex? I try to stay with one pair if I can. I used the CPX2 on the USDCAD for about three months. It was terrible. I kept getting stopped out. So I put a comment on YouTube. Of course, I received a response from one of his guard dogs. She said ""Do you even know anything about CPX2? Apparently not. If you want people to take you seriously, you should try informing yourself before offering silly opinions that don't really mean anything. ....." So I says to her "Do YOU use it on Forex? I have tried to trade it on the USDCAD for the past 3 months. It SUCKS! ....."
I then tell her about my live trading with the USDCAD.

Can you believe she says "USDCAD? Yeah, that kind of sucks. When I tested it, the results did suck."

On a different day I posted another comment on YT where the Vendor was ranting about all of the pips he made from the CPX2. So I commented.
"Thats great news that you made all of those pips. Strangely, . I have traded the USDCAD for almost about 5 years, but used it with the CPX2 for the past 2 1/2 months and I am here to tell you I lost money. I am sure you can blame the complainer, but you cant blame them all of the time."
He writes back; ."....I'm not here to blame anyone. I would only respond by asking you what your backtest showed? Because ours wasn't good, which is why we don't trade the USDCAD with CPT (or CPX2). We focus on tradeplans that we can prove will be successful before we commit real money to it or make it part of our SPFx Alert service. In fact, we haven't changed a thing with that service since it came out nearly 3 years ago and yes, it IS up over +35,000 pips. I think it would be a very safe wager that at some point not too far down the road, you will be hearing of it breaking 40,000 pips too."

Am I the only one who doesnt know the indicator should not be traded on the USDCAD? A courtesy note would have been nice, right? And, is this the only pair that failed? Something on the website advising not to use it on the USDCAD. What other pair does not play well with the CPX2?

Needless to say I am really disappointed with this indicator. The way the Vendor neglected to tell his customers the USDCAD does not do well? It took a YT post three months after using it to get his attention? Like most paid indicators, it was wrapped up and sold with no instructions. The CPX2 indicator is not worth 500 dollars for Forex Pair trading. I dont bother to go into the trade room any longer.
