AFAIK it was removed from dxFeed instruments due to the dxFeed policy on what you can do with market data. The indicator works with other data feeds.

Bookmap can definitely do a better job of making this more clear though. Instead of removing the strength level indicator from the indicators menu, they can make it inactive and show a message explaining why it's not available with dxfeed similar to the alert you get when you subscribe to a dxfeed instrument.

Hi Timo123 and ivoTrades,

Bookmap's Strength Indicator should not be available for dxfeed instruments because false positives occur; there may be latencies when orders and trades arrive from the data provider which could cause erroneous outputs.

regards,

Bruce

can't you just leave the option in and have a note that it can cause false positives?

or is there any tool available to see variance between executed trades and limit orders for crypto?

it's probably not that hard to program at all, I just don't really want to work with Java

Not Bruce, but I know Bookmap has replay.
Here's a video from a couple of years explaining the basic functionality then. I think the newer program versions may allow a download of data rather than needing sessions to have been recorded first before replaying that file.

thank you so much for the work, I think this video is worth watching

Hi timo123,

My apologies, I was incorrect. We just recently allowed the Strength Indicator for dxfeed, but please note the accuracy warning when you open the settings dialog box. Thus it is just like you requested above. There is no tool to display variance between the order book and transactions, although as you know, it is possible to code it in our Java based API. Moreover, you can sell it on the Bookmap Marketplace if you like as well.

regards,

Bruce

@Bookmap, is it possible to develop my own custom automated trading strategies using Bookmap API that can manage multi contract position? I'm also keen to know if Bookmap API enables custom strategy to accept signals generated and sent by other platform such as Ninjatrader OR is bookmap API capable of sending out critical levels information to other platforms?

Hi Timo123,

Bookmap Global+ version's Strength Indicator works for Crypto. The new MBO Bundle which includes the Stop&Iceberg Tracker only works with CME Group futures instruments with RIthmic data. The MBO Bundle and SI Tracker is sold separately and thus works with both Bookmap Global and Global+ versions.

regards,

Bruce

the indicator is displayed on the top right, it just doesn't have any settings so the only thing you can do from that window is enable / disable it.
