It would be much appreciated if u can answer me few ques related to this if u have used it.
>> Is it open code ?
>> Are the functions can be used in strategy directly or one needs to create their own ?
I m Currently using PriceDistribution indicator from The Swing Machine. Its open code so can be used in strategies after some modifications. But still its not as handy as it should be. Takes ages in calculating large range of data set also its almost impossible to get Developing VA and DPOC. Sure u can get one day back.
I would like if some more users come up with their experience with 1st Trading Tools.
If no open code then developing a strategy using it will be impossible. May be i would stick to Price Distribution analysis as of now. It does almost all what this code can do other then TPO counting. Which I dont require.
Actually i dont know if its open code , I assumed it wasnt .why dont you contact the developer and find out, By the way the toolset is for Multicharts , not ninja trader
Thanks for the info regarding indicators. May take trial some day when I dont get my code to function the way I want it to be and may be I may purchase it.
But one more thing , " If it can be constructed , for sure it can be destructed. "
just to say, from what I can tell, this is by far the best MP toolset for Multicharts out there. I've been using these for a while now and I'm pretty impressed with the functionality. They're quick to calculate, unlike what I was using before on TS and the support is great, almost immediate. The guy who wrote them is constantly refining stuff and open to suggestions. So, if you're looking for an MP toolset for MC, this does the job...

I also am using this toolset in MultiCharts - I've found the projected historical Point of Control data to give excellent area's to look for support & resistance.

Good news for those interested from Multicharts forum:
swisstrader Post subject: Re: Market Profile Toolset for MC v6 and higher version Posted: 06 Sep 2010
Good news for our customers: because of so many sells we'll pay back to much paid amount and sell from now for the new price - 149 EUR per MultiCharts Installation.
this site has launched a new naked point of control indicator that looks very interesting. I haven't seen NPOC anywhere else, but its a pricey addition
i saw that a while ago and thought it was abit too pricy, I can draw NPOCs manually i have to say their other tools are great though and ive been using them for afew months since they made that special offer
i recently got myself the profile tool. it works great, is fast, and it has many options to customize it to your liking.
i was especially happy with the support, swisstrader is a nice guy and communication was top notch.
if you are using market profiling for your trading and currently own a MC license, i think it is great value for your money.

Can't speak for this indicator - never used it - but MultiCharts allows all dataseries to be built from Tick Data if you set it up to do so in QuoteManager when using IQfeed. So even a 5 minute bar can be built from tick data, for instance, which comes in handy when doing cumulative delta studies.

That is for this thread (this thread is to review a vendor and his product only), but if you go to the Webinars section on futures.io (formerly BMT) there are two Market Profile webinars there. Plus if you just do a search for keyword market profile on forum, you'll find many good threads. Last, check CME's website, they have some good market profile resources and documents for free.
Hi, someone know how to reset every day this indicator? Thank you!
I am not an expert in this arena, I am new to CDV and don't use any other studies that require the info. You might ask @FulcrumTrader, in a more appropriate thread so we don't continue to go , as he has a good deal of experience with it and MultiCharts. You could also ask the author/vendor for this thread what his indicator uses, since he wrote it
Is swisstrader on this forum at all? I have sent questions to the support@1st... e-mail address from 2 different accounts with no response on either one.

If your goal is to contact 1st Trading Tools, the correct email address is support@1st-tradingtools.com. The email address listed a couple of posts ago are not for this company.
Can I write my own formula for the vahigh and valow using easylanguage?
Does anyone have a snippet of the code I could take a look at to see if I can convert
my thinkorswim custom volume profile script to multicharts easylanguage?
Ive been using it for a long time now , i wouldnt trade without it.. The levels it produces are exellehnt toolsfor creating my daily strategy. By the way i just noticed on the website that its now free for anyone buying MC. You may want to contact the vendor to obtain afree trial. I think thats what i did before i purchased it.
Can somebody chime in on the programability of the market profile tool? What functions are exposed? Can you use the market profile for only full-day results or can i market profile the first hour (ie, user-defined time spans).
was on TS they could not call indicators in their library market profile but they had one by a different name. Well not a programmer, that what you are asking would seem pretty easy for price, the volume side just a little more complicated. Im sure someone could snap that off in a few minutes
I am looking to do some MP analysis and just get a better feel for it as I am quite unfamiliar with it.
I learned a bit of a strategy but it requires one to combine histograms until there is a completed bell curve (or something like that). Does this addon to MC allow for combining histograms?
I'm asking because when you goto their website, they have a splashscreen asking you to enter your name and email address. I did this with 2 different email accounts already and never got a replied back from them. I also checked my spam and junk folder and didn't find their email either. Are they still in business?
I had the same issue no response from these guys. Does anyone know where I can get a decent MP tool for MC? I have tried the included one from the MC Support Forum and I did not really like it.
I also have a full copy of Ninja I have seen good MP indicators for NT but I don't really want to switch back to Ninja for charting if I can help it.
Yep, abandon ship and switch to SierraCharts or InvestorRT. Or there are some decent tools for Ninja ...
Incredible, but even AmiBroker has some things available for volume profile on minute based which actually work in playback ... this area seems to be totally neglected by Multicharts PM.
