Has anybody looked at eminijunkie.com? I heard the founder in an interview and he seems pretty reasonable and has some sound trading principles. He sells his trading plan/setups in a PDF for $67 and he has a chat room for $69/mo. I get his daily videos which review the day and he seems to usually get about 20-30 ticks a day on the ES, usually scalping 4-8 ticks at a time.

If you're interested and looking for a trading mentor to follow you might want to check it out.

I guess my question about his results has to do with him using a simulator DOM in his videos and the disclaimer on his website that he uses certain filters in the trade room that cause his real results to be different than what he posts in his video and on his website. I am a former user of the TransAct AT platform and recognize what he is videotaping to be the simulator DOM.

Overall, were you profitable while a member of his room?

Does anyone knows someone who has been profitable in one of these rooms ?

We can read sometimes things were people found the room XX useful, learn a lot in it, etc, so they are maybe not all too bad, but someone writing "I've been a member of this room, and I'm now profitable for the last months." ?
(someone which is not working for the room itself, because we also had these examples here ).

I think if people learn how to trade a certain way by following a chat room they eventually stop paying for the chat room because they don't need it anymore because they've learned how to personalize it to the way they want to trade, or else it just didn't work for them.

I used to be in the MasterTheGap.com chat room every day until I figured out how I like to trade gaps for myself and now I don't go to the chat room, unless I want to hang out there (I'm paid through November) and see what's going on.

I bought the trading plan and did the chat room for a few weeks. It speed up the learning curve. The ones on the daily video are cross over trades. Most of the trades are profitable in the morning than the afternoon. The only problem with this trading plan it uses limit orders so sometimes the good trades just touch the entry but don't get filled or sometimes they happen so fast. Overall is not a bad place to start off trading. He trades under strict rules and doesn't go chasing trades or moving targets.

I traded with EJ for 3months cos i belived the results in the videos.

After trading in the room it wasnt long before i relised the results in the videos are absolute B.S

I also back tested the stratgy and at best the signals are 50/50 - not as EJ would have u beleive.

It is cheep to join, but it will cost u alot more if u trade the strategy.

I have been in the room for over a couple months .
His system seems to be working if you can stay focused and disailned I think you will find success with it.
It is simple and a great value for the money.
I do find If I stick with the correct call trades I do fine at the end of the week and will be in the green.
My problem is I still take to many of my own trading ideas at some made up S&R that I have made up in my head at the moment.

If you stay focused and only take EJ trades you will be fine .
I am still trying to stick to the plan at the momment with the "correct" trades.
Getting better each week and believing in his system.

Hope this helps you guys

Hard to say if it's SPAM or not, @pgain seems happy to be in this trading room.
It's not because the huge majority thinks this trading room is not good at all that a single user, somewhere, can like it.

We'll review this with the other moderators, thanks to the reporter.

I have to laugh when someone says, "I backtested this method, and it doesn't work..." Believe it or not, you can't backtest everything.

I was a member of eminiaddict's room for 2 or 3 months when it first started, and I believe eminijunkie was a member there as well for a time. EJ broke off and started his own thing. He does a better job packaging and marketing it than EA. But from what I've seen, EA's use of fibs was more realistic (EA swing trades). Scalping (EJ) with fibs is very difficult imo.

But on the use of fibs in trading - it is still one of my primary tools in my arsenal. It still amazes me how many people use fibs on the ES - I see time and time again when there are mass exodus at defined fib targets. Even if you don't use fibs, you should know it to see what your competition is looking at. Though, if you are a scalper, I don't find fibs provide much value.

Fibs are a difficult method to learn for the beginner, especially given that they look simple enough to understand. But if you're a relatively new trader, imo, you need 6-12 months before you'll see the genius.

I used eminijunkies for 4 months just trading the first 2 hours and I don't get the same result as the video. Sometimes, price will touch your price but no fill. If you really want the fill, just enter at 38% line of fib. As to date, I have never made any money with this system. So beware. The one thing I learned from this system is discipline.

Has anyone tried the Auto Signal Generation software (ASG)?

I understand that there are filters that can be used with this, but I would be interested what kind of results has the system generated not using any of the filters.

Also,

How close are the results of the ASG with the nightly videos that EJ puts out?

Thanks

Response to the last poster - Haven't personally used the ASG but most in the room seem to concur that it nails the entries just as EJ calls them, depending on how many filters you have turned on, I think there are nine, most people use 5 to 6 because otherwise it wouldn't call many trades, but if you're cautious you can add the others.

As for the room, firstly, I am not a spammer - I live in Australia,My name is Steve.

I joined the room 6 months ago as a complete newbie (other than the 2 months I wasted with a so called reputable Australian Eminis provider to the tune of $8,000 for the course, which included the shitty photocopied trader manual that wasn't even in colour and the training discs pathetically burnt and stamped on a PC - Plus $295 a month room access fee's, do the math, you'll work out who they are)

When I joined the room (before I get shot down here) as a beginner, I was blown away by the level of skills required to trade the ES. EJ has a really good knack of explaining the intricacies of trading the ES. His plan (unless you are already knowledgable) is confusing (or was to me). Then I ordered the DVD and watched the free training videos in his forum that explained a lot.

EJ spends a lot of time answering questions in the room, when he's not focussed on the market. This plan will teach you discipline for sure. Bear in mind that his free daily videos are taking every single entry the plan calls. Quite often in the room he will call a trade but advise whether it looks good or bad, I have often through caution not taken trades because of the caution he has placed on them, I have then seen them either take a reduced risk stop out or a full stop out.

Very few of the really good setups ever get to and FSO, 70% hit their target, maybe 25% get a RRSO and 5% will get an FSO.

Now the results, if I add up all the trades called I would be well in front. Unfortunately I got bored over the Christmas break and traded. I lost on quite a few (bearing in mind that I didn't EJ's words in my ear and I pretty much just gambled).

In the past month I have almost recouped my losses and am totally commited to this room. $69 p/m is so cheap compared to the other (so called reputable Aussie Eminis room provider).

The other thing not included in the plan but regularly talked about in the room is edge trading (these trades don't get included in the daily video because they aren't in the plan). EJ has a great style also taking these trades and if they were (and will be soon included in the updated plan which is free to all plan members) included in the video, would paint a much better picture on the range days.

You know what I think, there are people in this forum who want to poo poo a system because they are to useless to commit to it and make it work. They are weak, they take their own bad trades from their own bad habbits and want to blame someone.

Follow the trading plan and the trading progression, go on sim for a few months, whatever it takes. If you don't get filled on an entry, you snoozed it's that simple. EJ doesn't include touch entries in his video, only proper fills.

If you have a few years of bad habbits, go see EJ, if you are a complete newbie, go see EJ, if you are intermediate, go see EJ.

If you are a total wanker, stay the F&^$ away from EJ.

Cheers.

I beg to differ - was in the room for 4 months and he puts a lot of 1 touch fills on the vids. I've been trading off and on for 8 years and I know when to expect a fill and when not to on the ES. Your comment "you snoozed it's that simple" tells me you are either a newbie or a shill or both.
I have stayed in contact with some past room mebers and they ALL complain about the videos being grossly innacurate.

Didn't I say like twice I was a newbie ?

What's a shill ?

Quite often EJ places NF (no fill) on his videos, even with a touch, maybe he has some minimum tick volume to say it's a fill, whatever.

If that's your only issue then I think you are being pretty picky.

Google is my friend.

*** Shill *** A shill or plant is a person who helps another person or organization to sell goods or services without disclosing that he or she has a close relationship with the seller. The shill pretends to have no association with the seller/group and gives onlookers the impression that he or she is an enthusiastic independent customer.

Far wide of the mark there SawDr. Not sure if EJ has many people in Australia with a 'close' relationship, but anyway, prove me right and poo poo this statement.

As a former EJ room member I have to agree with everyone above. Like anything his Plan has pros and cons. It is very binary. U have a setup or u don't. It is highly based on ribs and pull backs. So most entries require a touch till or going negative immediately on entry. This is one reason I personally like his system because I would rather enter on a positive stop rather than a limit coming back at me

His premature forecast in the room is very good and more often than not, correct. This is for a short term and longer term time frame. As a noob I did learn alot about support/resist/confluence which will help me in the long run. But as for his plan... It just wasn't my style

As far as the daily videos. They are based on his basic plan rules and more often than not require a touch to fill entry AND exit. I don't this they are inaccurate. But for sure not fiesable. His is a trader first and a marketer second. IMHO

Worth the money to learn some techniques, but I'm still searchIng to fnd and refine my style

. . . been doing EJ's room live for about a month. It has been a great experience. EJ IS CLEARLY IN THIS TO TEACH U. He is an advocate for everyone in the room. His early morning big picture kickoff is scarey accurate. I was in 2 rooms before (Gina and oscar) both decent if those are your style. Ej is really open and willing to answer questions and open minded to others that point things out to him. But, I will agree that his daily vids are abit forced . . . that being said tho - you can make good money if you are in the room. . . I don't hold him to the daily vids - Those are acurate for the most part, but a sales tool none the less. All in all, it has been a profitable and knowledge-gaining experience . . .

I tried junkie out for about 2 months. Overall i felt like i learned a good amount, and it seems like a reasonable trading room for absolute beginners. However, i was unable to make money with his methodology. I didn't lose much either, but certainly the videos he posts daily have some amazing results which are not at all what is made in the room. In fact, i found that in the room for the trades that he does call out and participate in, his calls are always really unclear, and it often sounded like he was waffling - deciding whether or not to take the trade, and not really letting anyone know if HE was going to take it (until it was already profitable of course). Often if a trade lost, after the fact he'd say 'oh, i passed on that one for such and such a reason. I found it a little suspicious.

So, i'm not sure if he's legit or just a trader who can't QUITE make money trading. There may not be anything wrong with that. He was a good teacher, and seemed like a nice person. He had some good things to say about trading psychology.

Before i joined his room i was also a member at eminiaddict.com. Their methodologies were so similar i thought they were probably ex-buddies or ex-business partners or something. I learned quite a lot from eminiaddict.com as well, he's a good teacher too, and seems like an honest person. He did NOT call trades out in his room, just concentrated on teaching. Ultimately i wanted trade calls, but i did spend a few months in his room learning from him, which i think was a good experience overall. I liked eminiaddict.com better, and i only mention it in this post because their methodologies are SO similar.

Cheers.
