I prefer Journalytix not only because of the possibility to generate multiple trade statistics, but also because of the integrated fully configurable real time news feed and news calendar with alerting function.

Hello guys,

Time for an update. How many are still using Journalytix? Would you still recommend this software?

I've been looking for something to help me automate tracking my trade performance and maybe also something which could be used to show/produce a track record for 2022.

It does seem like as a Ninjatrader 8 / Ninjatrader Brokerage customer Journalytix is my best choice.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using Journalytix for about 2+ years now and it's still my favourite tool for journaling, statistics and news feed, so personally I'd recommend it.

Sounds good!

Are you also using it with NT8 + NT Brokerage? It seems so from your profile.

1. Can you confirm if it tracks my net performance 100% correctly including all fees and commissions?

2. Do you use it intraday or just EOD? I imagine I would want to do the latter. Unless I find that the real-time news feed is worth it.

I might just have to try it.

PS: From time to time I do reset my DB on NT8. Is that something which could be a problem?

Thanks in advance.

Howard

Yes, I'm using it with NT8 via NT8 Bridge + NT Brokerage as well as for UProfit Trader, Earn2Trade and Leeloo, tracking eight different accounts.

It correctly tracks my gross and net performance intraday and EOD, and you can assign all kind of broker fees, commission, NFA fees, etc. as well as miscellaneous fees not only for each account but also for each instrument, e.g. for Minis and Micros. Performance tracking applies to open PnL AND closed trades as Journalytix tracks and shows them separately.

Regarding the real-time news, you can choose from different sources and filter your feed using keywords in order to fit to your needs.

Resetting the NT8 DB is no problem at all since all trades and parameters are submitted to their own DB once a trade is opened and closed.

In addition, they offer a very good online help guide and documentation.

Hope this helps.

Wow! That's a handful!

So, I can (or rather have to) assign the fees manually myself? I expected so.

Yes, but you have to assign them only once. After that all fees, commissions, etc. are calculated and deducted automatically from all trades relating to that account and / or instrument.

You can also apply them afterwards to all trades you did in the past or from a particular date if you like.

Has anyone used this with SierraChart or Interactive Brokers, or SC Order Routing and gotten realtime import to work?
