Hi YJ78, try tradethenews.com, time ago they offer one week trial, now I see that they changed the first page and I don't know.
BTW when I tried it was fast and has audible news feature.

Luke.

I use Wall Street Journal online, Reuters.com, Bloomberg.com. On TV I watch Blomberg TV, and I hate to say I also watch CNBC. All the above are free and offer financial news/analysis as well as hard news.

I use TOS from TD ameritrade. The platform has a news feed and you can also get tradersaudio.com free in the chat room. you can open an account online and when it gets to how you want to fund the account hit fund later. you need to call then and have them activate TOS on your account. I have used it almost a year now without funding the account. I also use the NYSE data feed on my quote tracker

I use briefing.com, 'single play' because for me, it has the best combo of earnings info and up-to-date major company and news releases. There is a slight delay (seconds) on the major news releases (you don't really want to trade those releases in a knee-jerk way anyway) but they do a good job with the mini analysis of those and also provide a number of tidbits during the day. I'd recommend them over any other source I've used .... they do a good job of filtering minor stories out too. One downside for me is that they pretty much shut down after about 5PM PST; not really okay given the import of overseas action now, especially if you are trading futures or currencies ... but then again, I am messed up if I want to trade 24X7.

Tradethenews is slightly faster with the major release news (almost real-time) and does have the audio feature but is fairly pricey with that. If you are trading currencies and/or futures after hours, they might be a good way to go (they have both a currencies and equities version).

I should mention that I say 'after hours' from a U.S. centric eye.

Have tried the currencies version, with and without audio. Definitely lots of news and delivered near real-time which, if you're very good at 'trading the news', is possibly a good thing. They'll give you pretty much all of the currencies market moving news and economic releases. Not sure the audio is worth it as they just parrot the text messages with no 'analysis' so it ends up being more of an audio alert that news is there, which I think you get anyway, with the text only version. Haven't tried 'equities.'

Don't know why but they do seem to hide the pricing now, until you sign up ..... pricing used to be something like $90 for text only, $170 for text and audio, per month.

The only news I've been able to trade successfully is individual stock stuff - briefing.com does a very good job with that. If you're up early (or looking post market) - in the U.S. - you can catch some stuff there at the right time and 'get in' early. Recent example is NFLX in Canada.
