Hi guys,
Anthony Drager has been well known to the futures io community for many years. Recently he has created a new venture and trading product, named "Verbal Journal".
This thread can act as a Vendor Review thread, for members to review and discuss this product "Verbal Journal". There will be a second thread shortly for asking questions directly to Anthony @ Verbal Journal - the AMA thread with Anthony Drager. I will post that link once it is available.
Additionally, Anthony will be presenting an overview webinar to give a demonstration of his new product "Verbal Journal" and describe the benefits of using this tool for traders. Verbal Journal is a new futures io site sponsor -- once I return from vacation the complete set of threads and offers will be posted on the site.
Anthony Drager's Biography:
Anthony Drager began his career as a CME clerk, then went to become a CBOT member before being hired at one of Chicago's bigger prop groups, International Trading Group (ITG). Anthony created the Verbal Journal, after many years collaborating with other professional traders.

It is my pleasure to welcome back Anthony Drager @ Verbal Journal for a webinar on Thursday, October 4th @ 4:30PM Eastern US.
The title for this event is "Trade Jounaling with an Amazing Twist", and bullet points include:
This amazing tool will help you pin every trade and thought to the exact time it occurred and will super charge your trading by helping you:
- Learn from your missed trades for future opportunities
- Complete daily trading reviews in less time
- Track the accuracy of your analysis
- See how missed and taken trades looked on top of actual price action
- & much more
In this session, the following topics will be covered:
- Learn how the tone you use reflects inner emotions and thoughts
- Stop journaling only the past – focus on the present
- Discover how to play back your mental state as it occurred in real-time
- Understand how Verbal Journal records raw emotions in the present
- Stop missing trades – start using Verbal Journal
I have been one of the test subjects for the Verbal-Journal and I was wary of it at first. I try and write down my trades when I take them. Time, Location Area, WHY I entered the trade etc.... And most of the time while I have my head down writing all that stuff I hear "Stop Filled". At the end of the day when I review the trade that I was stopped out on, I look at what I had written. I was rushed, so my spelling is bad and my thoughts are all over the place. My journal looked like some code book out of WW2. Has that ever happened to you? It has me quite a bit, but with Verbal-Journal I'm able to left click on the chart and open up my mic and I start talking. I can go back later and look at the chart and review what I had said at the time and hear what was going through my head. I make adjustments in my thinking and as a result my trading has improved and my journaling skills are better because I get all the facts. If you already have your own method of writing down your trades imagine how much better it would be if you were able to hear your own voice talking about why you got into that trade.

By using Verbal Journal, I have essentially become my own risk manager. This tool helps me to review my real time thought processes and subsequently refine the location/execution process.
As traders we pay for our mistakes; it is critical that we learn the lessons. This has been a great tool for building up my consistency and confidence.
I can tell you from experience that Verbal Journal is the best way to drive better trading skills into action with less fear and more confidence
The most successful traders keep a journal and the quickest and easiest way is VJ. I use it to post all my trades on my charts in my own words to review later , what conditions got me in a trade and whether it was win, loose or break even. It helps me create subconscious habits to achieve better results.( Most importantly) i use VJ to post trades i don't take and should have but was stopped by fear time and time again , when the same pattern arises in the future I'm better equipped not to miss it because i verbally told myself in the past it has a high degree of success. Its really a powerful tool for traders that are serious. Thanks so much VJ.

Hi guys,
It is my pleasure to announce our 326th webinar event and welcome back Anthony Drager @ Verbal Journal for a webinar on Thursday, November 29th @ 4:30 PM Eastern US.
The title for this event is "Trade Journaling with an Amazing Twist", and bullet points include:
After only the second month of the launch we give examples on how some in the VJ community are using Verbal Journal to improve their trading!
Anthony Drager began his career as a CME clerk, then went to become a CBOT member before being hired at one of Chicago's bigger prop groups, International Trading Group (ITG). Anthony created the Verbal Journal, after many years collaborating with other professional traders.

I have had the Verbal Journal for a month maybe...I have been busy changing up what I'm doing, so honestly, I haven't made as good a use of it as I planned, but am getting back to it. I can definitely attest to the customer support / responsiveness. You can tell Anthony is a good guy and wanting to help! And I think once I get to really using and reviewing with the VJ, it will be incredibly helpful!
The following 3 users say Thank You to Jillzy for this post:
I recently bought the journal and found it very helpful. I am an auditory person who gets more out of an audio than writing things down. I have made the VJ part of my daily use on all trades. When I am done trading, I will listen to those notes and then start to write them down in my daily journal. The VJ has helped me in creating a positive feedback loop in which has then created a habit. It has made my learning process much more enjoyable.

I started using Verbal Journal back in January 2018 when it was in beta testing. I originally used it on Ninja Trader but recently switched over to Sierra charts and am using it there now.
I find it is an invaluable tool to not only record your thoughts real time while the market is moving, but also after the fact while reviewing the day.
By verbalizing my thoughts out loud I can slow things down instead of having them race through my mind. It is very easy to use. With just a couple of clicks of your mouse it is open and ready to start recording and much quicker and easier than trying to write everything down. Then, at the end of the day, it is easy to go back and listen to what you thinking at that point in time with the spot you recorded at marked with a dot.
If you are on the fence about whether or not to get it I highly recommend it!
