Reference to higher chart

Hi All,

I am looking for some guidance. (and I googled a lot with no luck)

I am on Tradestation 9.5 and I use a 610 tick chart and I also have second screen with 2440 tick chart

can I reference 2440 tick on a 610 tick chart? which means, for example, I would like to number the bars (actual numbering on top of the candle bar) of a 610 tick chart, when the 50 day SMA of the 2440 tick chart starts moving up.

I can write the code, but few questions..

1) How do i reference 2440 tick chart on a 610 tick chart? (in the code, I mean)
2) How to number on the bars? like 1,2,3 etc when a condition is met? '

I found some free indicators online (referencing to higher time frame), but the source is protected, so i could not read them.

Thanks much for your guidance.

Thanks,

Sam

Sam,

unfortunately Tradestation doesn't allow to combine multiple tick timeframes on a single chart. This only leaves you with a few more advanced options. You could use the ADE (All Data Everywhere) framework to make the data from the higher tick chart available on your 610 tick chart for example. Another approach would be to use Object Oriented EasyLanguage and price series provider objects
You should be able to find several examples and the ADE documentation in the official TS forum, but this is likely a more advanced project.
