I'm looking for a reliable footprint for NT8. The free ones I've tried crash NT8. (mine anyway)
I'd buy Gomi's if it was a single purchase instead of a subscription.
I found Volumeladdertrading and the product looks good.
What bothers me is they have a "no refund" policy.
So, if their code is unstable, one has done their money.
Feedback on this product would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
David.

Did you try the one in the elite section?
Wondering as I intend to try it and hope it will do the job.
Of course you would need to become an elite member if you are not yet.
This is not a download, this is a
Notice to all Downloaders
As at NT8.0.4, Feb 2017, Ninja Trader LLC has been struggling to contain errors and memory leaks on some indicators. It may not be the code itself but something internal within NT8. It …
Suggests that it may be to do with NT8 rather than specific indicators and has some tips.
My workspace will be fairly simple (just discretionary trading) so hoping I wont have any problems with memory leaks.
I have used Volumeladdertrading charts for a couple years now and I love them. I would never use another product. I have used Gomi and Market Delta for brief periods before them as well but for what I need this is the best.
As far as your concern for support or bad code I don't think you will ever have a problem and if you ever did they are great at getting right back with you.
I'm not great with NT8 yet and they helped me walk thru updating to the new versions with the new indicator etc.
It has tons of functionality and very easy to customize colors/options etc to make it look and do exactly what you need it to.
Hope this helps, but it has been a great product for me and I recommend it
Let me know if you have specific questions and I will help if I can
Hi, Larrikin:
I bought this indicator in September of 2016 and I´m very happy. It really works very well and the team of the site help you if you have any doubt to install. I recommend you!!
All the best!!
@Linds Thanks for your interaction. I sincerely hope that you have success with the elite download.
@jflor100 & @HALLE12 I'll make the purchase and report back here with my outcome. What I do find attractive is it appears they prefer quality over quantity. Or at least, they specialize in only a couple of "indicators".
Will advise
David

I purchased VolumeLadderTrading last year. I never could get it to work on my PC. They insisted there were no bugs and denied my multiple requests for help. I had NT support login to my PC and they verified it was their program that was at fault, which I conveyed to them. I requested and received a refund via PayPal much to the anger of the owner. It appears to be a very good product, but it simply had programming glitches that prohibited me from running it on my PC.
well, I´m using the Volume Ladder for one year now, and it works really well for me. It is really complete in characteristics, possibilities, stable and useful. I had Gomi before, but for N8 I had same problem than you, I do not like monthly payments. I lokked for different alternatives, and quality/price, I chose Volume Ladder and I think I made the correct sellection. Also very important, no problems with N8 and W10 so far., so signs of bad code or bugs either. Also the support is very useful and clear, and they also accept suggestion for further features, despite it is very flexible and with a lot of possible customization options, so probably you will find your needs covered.
I was/am using Windows 10 on a Dell machine, all anti-virus/spam programs were disabled at the time. Also NT support performed a clean install of NT7 for the verification.
I truly like their program and training, however I'm currently using the OrderFlows.com software and it's pretty good.

I'm using VolumeLadderTrading and love the indicator.
There are a few issues that popped up with the latest update of ninjatrader8, but they've been fantastic with tech help and it should be resolved soon.
... not a vendor, sorry for not disqualifying myself. It's whatever software you feel displays best the (mostly same) information that governs one's choice. You pay for Gomi for your own reasons, I paid for another choice for my reasons. Your choice is no better than mine, nor mine than yours. The thread was about yet another choice that I shared my experience on. It's not complicated. Don't make it.

I didn't say you're a vendor, nor did I say one software is better than the other. all I mentioned was that example that looks just like mine. certainly no harm done. it's not a crime to duplicate someone else's chart. many vendors are using the exact same options. actually I thought it was funny.
sorry you took it the wrong way. so no reason for that kind of response.

omg.
I got candlesticks too. I must've copied them.
haha.
Parallel evolution.
or at the least an understanding how to use a footprint. You chose to write down what you have posted. I never mined your material. I figured it out and learned from a few professionals. I also had buddies figuring things out as well. Your settings are in no way special. I asked you in pm if you wanted to share various, including set ups. You said your posts were the best you could offer.
I don't think I ever said my settings are special btw I shared them with everybody that asked.
in your pm you didn't ask me for settings, you asked me for set ups. that's a big difference, at least for me. and I told you I'm not explaining/teaching my set ups. had some bad experience in the past. some people expect a mechanical system that works 100% of the time. I'm afraid I don't have that. actually I've never seen one.
anyway like I said, I just thought it was funny. nothing more. trying to be more serious in the future
Gomi has done a wonderful job. Unfortunately I do not have any of his products.
I have 4 different footprint programs, beginning from early 2013.
No those imo are not special settings.
They may have copied you. But they may have copied someone else and or have figured out how to use a footprint chart.
The various features in the updated Gomi products they came from somewhere. Many were recommended by users and those often imo came from comparable products aor users who figured things out.
You claim size filter. Gomi added it in 2/2017... while other products had it already.
Your s/r levels I picked it up in 2014 from a professional trader
same ratio for s/r zones... uh same as above
Imbalance level diagonal? so you made that up? likely md delta - dow theory
3 range chart - es moves by 4 ticks... footprint reads an effective chart with a certain amount of levels
I purchased the Volume Ladder indicator yesterday.
As you've probably guessed, I'm new to Footprint and Order-flow so I had to turn off so many features cos I don't know most of what I was looking at. What I'm saying is, it's feature packed.
I figured I'll learn about, and introduce features as I go.
Late today, I get an email from Josue (VLT) ... asking me, and I quote, "How is going with the setup? Can we help in something?"
Can it be? I thought to myself. Real service!
I asked some questions which were promptly answered.
I would definitely recommend VLT.
Thank you to the feedback respondents in this thread.

I have turned off, both Tape snapshot (Item 8.) Level 2 (item 10.) and Session Bar. (Item 9) - They are very good but I got information overload. lol
Be sure to watch the videos. They are very helpful and you can watch the videos while watching the indicator in real time. Also very helpful.
I use the Vol Profile indicator on a larger time frame as well.
I rarely post stuff, but I put a picture of the absorption area after the inventories report in todays CL (crude contract) - If you want, it can be found at Mojo_FX on Twitter
The following 2 users say Thank You to brettji for this post:
Absolutely. I was keen to see that after reading the info at the site prior to purchase.
Ha ha ... I did exactly the same. I turned off the candle value area too. Along with most of the numbers along the bottom, keeping only the Delta ... for now. Items 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 also Cumulative Delta and Delta Reversal in item 5 all switched off. As you say ... info overload for now.
I'm half way through the videos.
Thanks. I had a look.
I use 5 min CL (see attached) for the Pit session. This is US EST, same period as your chart.

I'm still working with my configuration, but I've found that the daily profile works well for stetting targets.
Again, I'm still newer on orderflow trading but screen 2 has chart 1. is normal candles sticks Chart 2. is the daily profile and chart 3 is the Volume Profile.
Screen 1 is Volume Ladder.
I'm still waiting for my indicators created by The Intentional Trader to be converted to NT8.
They have an awesome indicator called SpeedTick. It lets you know when HFT's are hitting the market and the speed in which they are hitting the market by color.
The following user says Thank You to brettji for this post:
This is a vendor-review thread regarding VolumeLadderTrading.com, not the intentional trader stuff. Not sure where your question would be most appropriate but perhaps PM brettji instead of railroading the thread towards another vendor.
As for VLT, i got in touch with them and they offer no trial nor refunds, a great combination if you love high risk gambles. Overly positive comments from members with 1-20 posts unfortunately just adds room for more red flags imho. Its a pitty tho, cause it does look very interesting- id be very keen to see some trustworthy member review it.
"Hey! I've got 10 fresh apples to sell, any hungry buyers out here today?!" "Maybe! Just let me check my moving average and RSI!"
The following user says Thank You to danielk for this post:
Agreed= the VLT thread does not yet have any demonstrations of set ups or trades, the website is very concise and does not give a great deal of information. At least with Market Delta, there are plenty of you tube videos and you can get a good feel for it although is is pricey. Not dismissing the VLT product but too many positive comments with no real proof makes it very difficult to commit to the product.
Now I dare not reply in support of VLT for fear of being perceived as overly positive and untrustworthy.
I'll just say that I bought it and I use it as my primary chart and if the Euro is open, my emails are answered within the hour, sometimes even minutes.
" "To many positive comments and no proof" That's funny. "
Shame on us Brett, for thinking we could write a positive review of a product and get away with it.

So I'm posting a near real time image of my CL trade and from their Trading room today. They were going over the ES.
2nd CL order covered because absorption was coming in. 2nd Target was filled.

Hi - im using the DTP VolumeLadderChart anf trading the German DAX-Future.
Thats a really good indicator. Its helpful to see what the big Mony do
inside the candle. And see The VPOC.
I think its better works in ES-Future. There is more Money in the market an you see the moneyflow.
My setup for trading the DAX-Future must be a better one.
If there annyone trading the F-Dax also, please give me a sign.
Another genuine VLC customer here and I can compare it directly with other footprints I've used on Sierra and NT8 such as the Gomicators and AMSTrading.
I much prefer the VLC tool for the sheer customisation options and the fact that I can also use a DOM on the charts.
My only downside is that it is on NT8 only, which remains buggy and problematic in handing data.
NT customer support are assisting in helping to resolve an issue that only affects certain instruments and certain range periodicities.
Once that is resolved I will update this review and then hopefully just focus on my trading.
As others have said Josue provides very prompt and efficient customer service.
The following 2 users say Thank You to hoolio for this post:
As promised, I am updating this review.
Josue both resolved this issue and worked on some new features at the same time.
The issue is now fixed and I'm working hard to embed the VLC tool as my trigger for my setups.
I'd describe it as a combo of the best of footprints and DOM tools (eg recon tape, imbalance in DOM etc) but like any order flow tool you need to ensure you don't get carried away as triggers will occur all over the place and not just the zones you are planning to interact as part of your setups.
It's a great tool and the included education is also excellent as well - six hours which took me a few days to get through including recapping some parts of the videos to help digest them better.
I think it will take me many more than six hours to practise and get really good at using VLC but I have to say I am now fully committed to using the tool
The following user says Thank You to hoolio for this post:
I'm just looking into the Volume Ladder Chart as an option, as I need a good footprint and volume profile tool for NT8.
Unfortunately, the website doesn't provide much info about the functionality/customisation available....so could someone who owns the tool please let me know about the following?
1) Are there sound alerts available? For example, can you have an alert when absorption areas [A] or extreme ratios are identified?
2) Does the tool mark out short-term support/resistant areas, calculated from volumes shown on the footprint charts?
3) For the volume profiles, can composite profiles be created?
4) For the volume profile, can HVNs and LVNs be displayed?
Thanks in advance for any feedback - I just need more info before I can consider this tool!
Yep, the Order Flow + suite - I listened to the webinar last week and it looks promising. I will hold off on buying anything from third parties for the moment...
The following user says Thank You to synclavier for this post:
I really don't see the point of your post. Considering you've been doing volume profile for a few years. You know there are thousands of others as well. You're not the sole person who knows vp or footprint.
