I keep finding misleading and/or deceptive ads on Yahoo! UK that have to do with trading/investing. This is the latest.

By clicking on the link, you are taken to this webpage (I don't actually recommend clicking on it at all).

Leaked Wall Street Software Turns $1,500 Savings Into $2.7 Million Fortune

where one is greeted with the following, in large font

How One 64-Year Old Man Grew His $1,500 Savings Into $2.7 Million Fortune
The Fable of Ben Ivy*

Note the asterisk at the end. That asterisk is referred again to at the bottom of the page, where you can read (I've added the emphasis on certain words)

Ben Ivy turned $1500 into $2.7 million using our free software in his dreams. Ben is a fictive character marketing a very real trading software product and investment opportunity. Any and all earnings assertions and examples made by Ben not only are to be considered exceptional, they are not even actual. They are the reveries of the imaginary Mr. Ivy. The software also is not actually honorary but comes with the opening of a brokerage account.

Success of real people in real life using our software depends on several factors, including your finances, proficiency, market conditions and trading skill. Since these factors vary among individuals, we cannot warrant your results, nor are we culpable for your actions. Trading is a highly speculative business and you accept our proposition cognizant of the fact that you could undergo momentous losses.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of the Fabulous Mr Ivy. Enjoy the show, good luck with our software, and happy trading.
