"Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

Is it judgmental of me to observe that this doesn't immediately fill me with confidence?

(Maybe I'm being uncharitable, but it somehow reminds me of people promoting a "professional" service while hosting their website at Blogspot).

"97% Profitable days in 2015" it says everything

They put on the very top of the page a nice, catchy "97% Profitable Trading Days" For the year 2015

and then they say this

Quoting
HYPOTHETICAL [/B]PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN. IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM.

ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.

That 97% performance smells like hypothetical BS to me...

All it says IMHO, if true, is that this person or group has developed the necessary skill sets to extract cash from the market. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the "how" of how they do it. The only way stat worth its weight as a standalone piece of info is expectancy.

IMHO the method is not the skill that produces or creates trading profits. It is a different skill altogether. Entirely different. But it makes for one awesome business to sell this idea of a trading method that if just followed will bring all the unlimited riches of the market straight into your account. Because so few new(er) traders, if any, understand this.

"Us" is anyone reading this thread. Or anyone who is considering paying for this service. I guess I chose my words poorly and should've stated "Please let the forum know."

But having said that, I was emailed a recording of the webinar. I turned it off after two minutes. The guy who is selling this service has tried numerous trading services before and they've all failed. His voice is easily recognizable. I can't remember the names of the other sites and I don't have time right now to look them up, but they've all failed. That's why he's on to this new one.

Please everyone save your money and DO NOT purchase this system. If history repeats itself the site will be out of business in 6-12 months.

Per Emmett Moore at TradingSchools.... "I busted Bouncetrade, then he reappears a short time later as XMA Trading, busted him and now he is Pivot Lines."

Only thing I disagree with is that this site will even last 6 months

Just for fun, I pulled together the "performance" of one set of the site's "trades" (I must stress that these are supposedly hypothetical trades, so nobody put real money on the line).

The set I picked was just the first one, i.e. the one in the Box Line Performance :: Pivot Lines page.

I did not want to pull together all of them as I'm being lazy but, sure enough, this one, at 94%, is near the 97% profitable trading days claimed at the top of the page.

I'm sure that if I pulled all three sheets together I would come up with 97%.

Ron, I also calculated expectancy, although I'm not sure the format is how you expect it to be. Needless to say, on paper, it looks good.

But that's the catch. This is all theoretical results. No trades took place. If they had, most likely the results could vary. Widely.

I am not the one saying it. It is the site's disclaimer that says it for me.
