EOTPRO's "Flip a Coin" Webinar

I try to avoid advertising commercial stuff because I don't want people to think I am affiliated (which I'm not), but this particular email that I received today from EOT caught my eye.

Here is the gist of the email:

EOTPRO
About the event: Chuck LeBeau and David Lucas tested hundreds of technical indicators over an eight year period and concluded that nearly all traditional price indicators were no better for trading decisions than flipping a coin. If LeBeau and Lucas are right, then most indicators that traders use daily in making trading decisions are useless. Markets are not orderly and there is no underlying pattern in the markets to be discovered. Does that mean, we as day traders should we give up hope and quit trading? Should we just flip a coin and hope for the best? NO!

Bill will examine the reasons for abandoning traditional indicators and cover the following topics to help you make better trading decisions...
• How to understand the basic nature of the futures markets and why traditional price indicators do not deliver success
• Best practices for measuring high probability and the important difference between market prediction and market forecasting
• How to put it all together to identify and capitalize on great trading opportunities on both large and small time frames for futures, forex and equities
• Added Bonus: Live application examples of EOTPRO's Neural Network and Future Price prediction indicators exclusive for NinjaTrader!
Special Trading Room Privileged Access: Judge us for yourself as we are offering 'privileged access' trial to our trading room. For a limited time, you will have full client privileges with the opportunity to witness our unique approach to trading, giving our clients a real trading advantage, developing consistent, successful traders. This privileged access is limited, register quickly and experience the EOTPRO difference!

I found it interesting because EOT sells indicators, but they also sell a room and a neural network trading system. I've always thought that Bill was a good trader, and that the EOT room is a good place for beginners to learn a great deal. While I probably won't attend the webinar, I'm curious if anyone else will and what they will take away from it.

You guys know my opinions already: the more naked the chart, the better (no indicators). And don't rely on automation to make money.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Big Mike,
I attended today's webinar with Bill (EOT) but I really didn't learn anything that I can learn here (futures.io (formerly BMT)). The trade room seemed more confusing then anything I saw 10 different signals in about 20 minutes. I just logged off I also checked out protraderonline free trial room. From the looks of it the basics are sell/buy at predetermined S/R with a 16 tick stop loss and 32 profit target. I simmed the order and we were up 3.50 but it went against us for a 16 ticks lost. And I saw Barry dodge a couple of valid questions concerning price action.

"FLIP a Coin"- I choose HEADS.

I am disappointed about where EOT is going. I have known Bill for a few years, and traded with him years ago when he had just started EOT. Since then I have seen him move further and further away from real price action trading into first a bunch of indicators, then trimmed down indicators, then automation...and now neural net mojo.
Last time I attended his trade room I asked why he did not use the chart traders or show the dom...he ignored my questions. How anyone can follow someone who says I am in a trade 3 ticks later is beyond me...I prefer a moderator who says where he is going to take the next trade, where the stop is, the target, and actually shows the orders either on the chart or on the dom.
The room is more of a sales room, with Bill trading for entertainment. Bills Talk Trade Radio...well...at least there is not a buzzer going off causing my dog to start salivating every time there is supposed to be a trade.

i like Bills Traders Radio Station ! -- but for shure thats also a very personal thing, to like someones style or not.

i am always happy with using some of their trail-days-offers and i always leave with having learned something or heard about something interesting.

for shure its also entertaining - we all know how boring a trading-day can be if nothing big is happening.
But beside all the entertainement , there are always basic trading-lessons + stuff to hear from Bill & Co - things you never can hear often enaugh - thats what makes it more worth than pure radioshow

iE yesterday - we had Tony from mirus futures in the room - Q&A session for useres with him + lots of deeper Questions from Bill to get a look behind the scene of Zenfire + mirus + brokerage itself - very interesting infos also for me.

about Bills trading : (speaking of the current signals/system now )
its clear defined signal - you get an exact entry-price plotted on the sreen when a signal appears - you can check / reproduce if its filled or not - follow it if it isnt too fast to get filled (shure it runs away sometimes - but then Bill isnt in too)
its possible to follow even if you dont have the indicators - just from the things you see in the room / on his screen ! That should been said.
complete ATMs are given - target - stop - trailing - you can reproduce if this signal is makeing profit or loss.

for shure there are reasons not to take every signal blindly - but its NOT suposed to be an auto-trade-system !

i dont trade the signals so i cant tell you if its making bucks or not at the end - but its 100%
transparent + everybody is able to follow it - cause its defined.
for me its a fair place for that part.

But for newbies or new-to-EOT-trading-folks also should been said : one week is nothing to get all things the guys are talking about in such a room , to get the lingo + understand all thats going on there.
