Trialed in this room for awhile and they try to sell many indicators. Takes few trades, uses large 1-2 times ATR stops. Trades sim account. Valuable...?????

Hi all,

I've been an NSTA customer for several months now, perhaps even a year or more.
I believe Sean has some very good tools that help me trade.
I use mostly SDV, Fibs, PP, Auction Curve, a bit of Macro Profiles, and I have them open
on multiple charts, totaling 25 tabbed charts on NT8.
I've seen it work very nicely in fast markets, no problems at all.
I do have a powerful Falcon laptop, but the CPU usage rarely gets above 3%-4%,
so I believe that's very good coding on their side.

As per trading, I don't use the tools as Sean does. Sean's trading room uses stops which
I find are too big, and the drawdown can be more than I find suitable for my trading.
I do more of my own thing with Sean's tools, and have been profitable so far. I'm currently
trading in a OneUp evaluation, and up approx. $1.2k, so far happy with what I have seen.
I do need to test some more with market replay to get better stats, of course.
But so far, I like the structure and framework I have for my trades thanks to those tools.

As someone mentioned before, you buy AutoCAD from AutoDesk to draw your own skyscraper,
they won't do the work for you. I like the NSTA tools, I feel they help me automate zones drawing
and stuff I'd do manually anyway, so that helps me a lot. I like the odd enhancement ideas
I got from Sean, like using HTF and STF, and of course the Auction Curve is a great odds enhancer.

That's it for now.
Feel free to fire away, that's just my two cents on the matter.

Thanks,
I

If you're getting on with the tools and they are working for you, then good for you.

Personally I have found that I purchased the software expecting free or at least nominal cost future updates but in turned out in reality to be the complete opposite. SK decided to rename the new updates so that he wouldn't have to give out software.

So for example,
GoldenFibs has been renamed to GoldenFibs_MTF
SDVolumeZones has been renamed to SDV_SYSTEM

Under these conditions, would I purchase software from this company again?? HELL NO!

Additionally, the new versions of software may run quickly but for instance the versions of GoldenFibs I have runs OK once you have it set onto an instrument, but as I trade equities, is dog slow if you try to switch the symbol. Therefore I just dont bother using the software anymore.

I'm on a guest pass this week and Sean hit 1 outta 1 trades today live and made $2950 on a 20 lot ES trade. Their system is crazy complex and it appears to have to spend $2000-$3000 to buy their stuff and get started. I'll be in there again tomorrow watching.

I've known Sean 3 years, I hired him to help coach me last year, a very good 12-week program as a beginner who needed to build a foundation to grow on. I am very grateful to him. He taught me to write a trading plan and to think about trading in a business mindset. I learned more in that time than any other time since I started.

Sean's intentions are true and honest. He has... like many others have...evolved his techniques and indicators. What he teaches now has evolved since he first began. There is no trader in this community that did not evolve their beliefs, strategy, and methodology since they started. Evolution is growth. If your not...your not growing.

He now is more into teaching strategies that encompass his software. I use his software, his Macro Profile is an adaptation of the SW that Raul Rivera had introduced but Raul ended up doing things he should not have which ended that relationship. No need to bad mouth Raul...he was a good trader, I liked him, but had his own human behavior issues. We all have had those issues in our lives with other people. Nothing new and no need to bad mouth anybody.

Sean's goal is to become a consistently profitable trader himself and along the way educate others. yes, he sells Software and has developed indicators, all in the pursuit of being a better trader....not to hurt anybody. He uses what he sells and shows you how to every week.

He has joined the collective 2 community as part of his education and training. He is now trading in an account that has managed funds. If you are not familiar with Collective2 go read about there programs, are they perfect No..but who the hell is in this industry from a retail traders side.

I personally use Sean's software with my own methodology of applying it to my trade style. I am a member of his community and watch him Tues, Wed and Thurs when I am trading. He does not hide his losers, which I will tell you are very small. He emphasizes trade management and having a business mindset. He talks to trading points and tries to share all he has learned. All good.

If anybody here wants to talk about his program feel free to contact me, no I don't work for him or ever did.
If your a beginner and you are looking for help, his program is just that....helpful. It will give you a place to start and grow. If you are an advanced trader then you should already have your system and methodology...so no need to be in this conversation. No stupid comments, please.

If you have had a bad experience in the past with Sean...I assure you it was not his intention.
If you can only talk crap about somebody else than you must be totally disappointed in yourself, it is a reflection.

That is a Mark Douglas theory...and if you don't know who he is... then go get your mind right.

Wish you all a good trading week.

If I had to learn from someone I wouldn't go for wannabe trader, I would select pros like FT71 (Convergence Trading 60 or so a month) or Gary Norden (manual for 900 with continuous support). Just picking names from this forum.

Thanks for the tip. I went on their site and submitted some questions. Quite anxious for good, honest reasonably priced education.

If any of you guys want a licence version of his Print Profile, I would be happy to sell you that at a discount. I bought it few years ago but now I am using my custom built solution which dosent require me to have it. It works and gives incredible results if traded with other technicals. Just DM me
