Anybody familiar with this new website which claims to be a partnership between Harry (our very own FatTails) and another fellow to train people how to trade? The indicators look very much the same as what FatTails has given us here at BigMike's.

It seems to be initially focused on pivots, vwap and how to set up session templates, although the site is new and thus there may be more to come.

@FatTails made a reference to it in this post:

It's an elite link, but he did indicate he and a business partner launched it.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch (Best wishes) to FatTails and LizardTrader.com!

FatTails is really one of the few futures.io (formerly BMT) members who have contributed very kindly and generously to the forum WITHOUT judging/suppressing others and I deeply appreciate it.

p/s: Hope I got the (googled) translation correct.

I cannot thank Harry enough for his selfless contributions to the forum. I would venture to take it a step further and say that when I was just starting out, I wish I had been directed to read FT's insightful posts before committing real capital to any trading endeavor.

His commercial venture is no different. Robust software, with an out-of-the-box ready methodology that will likely shorten the learning curve for anyone new to the trading world, with a light tread on your CPU resources. Although it won't make you a millionaire overnight, it will more often than not help confirm you being in the correct side of the market. I have no doubt that as they add more products to their offerings, I will continue improving my trading performance.

Thanks Kris and Harry!

@Fat Tails started to upload some of his "ana" indicators (now called "ama" for nt 8). they're located in the download section under ninja trader 8:

https://futures.io/local_links.php?catid=27

he also has a new website with all his nt 8 indicators, including some premium indicators:

home - LizardIndicators

Quoting

Indicator Library for NinjaTrader 8

- Unlimited downloads of all library indicators (70+)
- The best of the best "Fat Tails" indicators, all in one place
- Newly released indicators not found anywhere else
- Special membership discount on all premium indicators
- One time payment of only $125.00 - no recurring fees

of course here at futures.io most of those indicators will be free. but by recognizing and appreciating all the work involved (we're talking about more than 100,000 lines of code!!), I think it's a small "thank you" to join lizardindicators.com for a measly $125.00. at least for me it would be the right thing to do.

if you're using "lizard indicators" there might be some issues with latest release 8.0.14.1. the problem has been addressed by @Fat Tails

Quoting

Huge issues with NinjaTrader 8.0.14.1.

(1) Synchronization problems: OnRenderTargetChanged() called prior to State.Configure()

(2) Access problems due to different threads: DX brushes can no longer be accessed via OnRenderTargetChanged() and OnRender().

(3) Crashes and freezes.

We need to inform all our customers NOT to install NT 8.0.14.1, as it breaks the code that we have produced for NinjaTrader 8.

Worst release ever since NT 8 BETA.

A sample indicator (open source) that shows the problems is attached. All indicators perfectly worked with NT 8.0.13.1, but stopped working with NT 8.0.14.1. The problem affects 50 + of our indicators which would all have to be adapted.

btw many indicators were updated and there're also a few new ones.

just a few examples:

- Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (premium version also available)

- Range Projections Daily

- Rolling Pivots Daily

remember NOT to use with nt version 8.0.14.1 until problems are fixed.

as always great work @Fat Tails

You are correct in that you are wrong. Someplace around the entry is a choice for NT7 or NT 8. I downloaded the NT 7 indicators, switched over to 8 then went back and downloaded the updated versions.

To make sure there is no confusion Lizard Trader is for the premium indicators ($'s each) and they install with an LT prefix, where the Lizard Indicators are the all you can eat for the flat membership fee and do install as ANA indicators. It can be a touch confusing because Kris and Harry have put in links to make it easy to find the premium indicator from the regular web site.

there're 2 websites:

home - Lizard Trader (professionals use leading indicators) this is the old website for nt7 (ana indicators) with free membership

home - LizardIndicators this is the new site for nt8 (ama indicators). membership is a one time payment of $150. unlimited access to over 100 indicators

also in addition, there're premium indicators for both, nt7 and nt8.

I am a newbie in NT8 and coding too. I am trying to create a custom indicator using the amaEfficiencyRatio. I wanted to reference the output of this in one of my custom indicators. Can anyone please let me know how I reference this within my code. Any sample code will be appreciated. The condition that I am interested is :
If amaEfficiencyRatio > 30 then ....

I need guidance on how to declare the indicator in the Declaration section too.

Thanks

interesting!! a new kind of renko bars (fully backtestable, no fake bars)

https://www.lizardindicators.com/premiumindicators/renkobar/

description:

Quoting

The LizardRenko has dynamic parameters for determining trending vs. reversal bars. A standard 1:2 Renko bar is available as D-Renko, whereas T-Renko and Q-Renkos deliver 1:3 and 1:4 ratios respectively. All our Renko bars are based on true price action, have genuine timestamps and are fully backtestable in all modes and settings. Finally, our Renko bars do not produce “fake bars” with zero volume and can therefore be synchronized with multiple bar series scripts.

LT_Renko_Tools:

Market Liquidity: Detects low liquidity scenarios where thin market conditions cause one or several order book levels to be skipped.

The situation occurs when there is a gap of more than 1 tick between the closing of a renko bar and the opening price of the next renko bar, or when a renko bar closes above the projected high or below the projected low, thus skipping one of those levels. Such Illiquid market situations may be displayed via paintbars and signalled via sound alerts. The Renko Tool comes with a public property “MarketLiquidity “which can be accessed via an indicator or strategy.

Projected Renko High/Low: The Renko Tool can be used to reduce slippage as it calculates the projected high and low for the next renko bar. These levels can be used to enter stop orders before the new renko bar has actually closed.

Sound alerts may be activated and triggered when one of the projection levels is reached thus closing the current renko bar. Two public properties “ProjectedHigh” and “ProjectedLow“ can be accessed through an indicator or strategy.

Chris, Harry's business partner did a presentation video on the new Renko bars for shark week (this week) I signed up so I would get the re-play link. Guessing Chris will put it up at the web site.

Here's the webinar, I purchased the lizrd renkos this morning, just setting them up today. I'm a big fan, use the Opening range, pivots, and VWAP premium indicators for NT8.

Danny, I really like the Lizard Premium indicators (the 3 you mention) and wonder if you purchased them? I like the Zerolag Oscillator too. Kris and Harry do great work but I'm trying to be super selective on what I'm buying and how I'm gonna use them.

Thank you. Does Kris have a library of videos showing suggested strategies using his library of indicators with actual trades?
