Hello fellow traders,

Back in June I signed up for trial trading with a Zacks portfolio manager. My trial period was 3 months long. They said that if I did not quite the trial period within 3 months they would charge my credit card $2,000 for the service. This would allow me to follow the portfolio manager for 2 years. During the trial the manager did great and I saw my account grow by about 20%, so I didn't cancel the trial. The portfolio also had a great record for the previous year well (2013). However, soon after the trial ended the portfolio manager wasn't doing so hot anymore, and after seeing his trading habits (buying and selling frequently and justifying good and bad trades after the fact), and realizing that I am more comfortable investing than trading, I decided that this was not the program for me. About a month after my trial period ended I asked Zacks for a refund and told them that I would pay for the 1 month I had used. They said no refund because I didn't cancel within the 3 month trial period. Yes, it is written on their site that the trial period is 3 months and that you can cancel within 3 months without paying for the service. At the end of the day, though, I never signed a contract. Can I get my money back? Do I have any legal weight? The customer service rep isn't communicating with me anymore although all emails from me have been business-like and professional. I am wondering what course I should take and if there is a course to take from here. Thanks for any advice. Thanks guys.
