Are you saying MZ requires a dedicated overclocked i7 to run it effectively or can other programs run along side it (in realtime, not for backtesting)?

See my image. Does MZ offer anything that looks similar? (numeric footprint) I don't see much on there website re this type of layout.

Does MZ clearly represent absorption with a user defined threshold?

Cheers

The more powerful your system the better off you'll be regardless of what your running. To answer...no, you don't have to have an OC i7 to survive. Creating my trade plan I need all I can get for my back testing so I don't have to wait 8 minutes vs 2 minutes because I am resetting often making adjustments.

Mz and Ad require more than average resources to run smoothly. My setups ...I must have it...(Mz, Ad and one other program running together)...for me I need this extra processing. It's a small price to pay.

I can post my system resources and OC specs if you like....

Here is my system... I feel naked now! dont judge me...

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y48jKZ

My OC is as follows:

General OC 33 gh to 44 gh.
Per core OC 33 go to 47 gh.

Your Oc will be dependent on your individual processor. My oc is the average...but it's good enough for me...

waht do you think? Is MZpack is a good alternative to AD?

I never find the time to take a free Trial for MZpack. On their website i could not find examples for a real foot print Chart.

MZ and AD is different. Both are great depends on what suits one.

Anyways.. @Chuck T and @mhamrin thanks for sharing your thoughts. In all fairness to AD this is an AD thread. But I think you may have some great info to share on mz. why dont one of you start an mz thread. I will contribute in course of time. Let us keep this focused on AD only since it's a great product. Whatsay? Infact probably you may want to share few things on how you use AD. discussions always help.

also @mhamrin you mentioned you use mz/ad and one other product. Yes OC probably helps. Will be nice if you could also provide some charts.

cheers...& hope some of the above makes sense

Paps...agreed. That is what has brought me here ~ Auction dashboard. I am least versed in AD. It is newest to me...sorry for getting off topic.

My hunch is AD and MZ can work in confluence with each other...most powerfully... another topic.

I humbly admit my AD knowledge is limited and I want to focus on sharpening my sphere of knowledge in AD. Paps, I will limit my post to AD product functionality.

I've read this thread threw and I appreciate your contribution here. Look forward to engaging AD discussions in the future...

Sure...but what i really use AD for is it's MOST powerful DOM.

a simple eyeballing of the DOM lets one knows who is in control imho.

Sounds like you're pretty strictly an order flow trader. Do you use any thing else to give you directional bias or is it just the AD dom for you?

I mainly use AD as I can see limits. For OF i use few things there is a screenshot in the thread...but its always mainly a level...and if Limits or Market Orders are aggressive. i use CD a lot & Ladder.
Likewise I need to see Volume coming in and aggressiveness.

Well, after several days I just got this email from Steven...

Hello Richard:

We hope you can forgive us for such slow communication recently. We have activated your machine on the lifetime license:

A08B02FA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~5CA

We are still here. Our resources have been consumed by development for a Ninja 8 release; and we haven't stopped working on that. It has taken up all of the resources that we have, and communication has suffered.

We promise we have a lot of very powerful tools coming together. We've also promised all existing users that they'll have a free update to NinjaTrader 8 when we have it, and we haven't stopped working on that part ... User will still have a free update for NinjaTrader 8.

Our development began a complete re-working of the code base which has just consumed us: we have an excellent expanded toolkit now, and we're just working hard on that to get it ready.

Please let us know if you have any issues.

Below is information about downloading, the User Guide, and contact information.

If your machines change in the future, we are able to switch your license to your active machine at any time: you would just need to notify us of the machine ID that you would like activated.

This was followed by another email refunding me $15 on the second license with an apology for the slow service.

Apparently the guy is just buried in his NT8 development but tries to come up for air and make amends every so often.

I too received a similar email after several attempts. Phenomenal product so I'm looking forward to the update. The good thing is we know Steve and whoever else that's working on it are still working on it.

I purchased license on April 1 after using the trial , received notification etc. from PayPal & auto response from the Auction Dashboard web page . I have still not received any reply to numerous emails, contact form submissions or phone messages to Steven . I have to agree with "buyer beware ,great product ,awful customer support "
